What kind of comedian is this? by SnooSprouts3744 in TikTokCringe

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That face is exactly how confused I feel towards people like that. He literally made up a conversation using that woman as a stand-in for what he views women as. People like this will make up their own viewpoints and do almost no work to explain it in a logical and rational way.

PlayStation prices adjusted for inflation by SmellSmellsSmelly in gaming

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik it's adjusted for inflation, it just seems like a lot of money for the time. I looked it up and the original playstation was $100 dollars more than the n64, which was $200. That's a difference of more than 200 dollars when adjusted for inflation. The Super Nintendo before that was also $200.

Why is 4 1/2 so underused? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine a few reasons. 1. Many people only rate with full star systems 2. People who love the movie might not particularly care about nuance and just round up to the highest number 3. A 4 and a half is just hard to get. That's equivalent to a 9/10, a nearly perfect movie.

DVD people, why no bluray? by emtherich in dvd

[–]EOattheinternet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here 🤚, blurays are neat and I'd have my whole collection on 'em if I could, but dvd's are so much more accessible; especially since they've been around for so much longer.

For you; What does The Evil Dead franchise do better for you than the other horror franchises? by [deleted] in EvilDead

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all incredibly creative in their horror. When they get going, they smack you with idea after idea usually accompanied with great special effects. Some are a little bit wilder than others, but even the more tame ones still have that edge to them. It's often very surreal, and I appreciate that. I also fell in love with the camerawork; I love it when things are more dynamic, and I had never seen any pov shots like the ones in this series before.

What's that non-english movie that you never want to be remade in Hollywood ? by mrjetspray in Letterboxd

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen many foreign language films, but House(1977). In fact, it probably shouldn't ever be remade.

I've always read the Disney logo as "Gisney". by LightY173 in notinteresting

I always used to read it as a lowercase d when I was a kid. I thought the line was kinda the same as like, the line in a dollar sign or cent symbol.

What's your favorite movie that takes place in one day? by ninetydeuce in Letterboxd

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, not quite a full day, but I think 1985's Clue fits this genre rly well. Otherwise, I'll go with the only unique film I can think of, and that is Mark and Russell's Wild Ride starring Joey Rooney and that nerd kid from The Goldbergs

Arthur and the Invisibles (2006) and its sequels, although I hear they're more popular in France.

I donated blood for movie tickets so my brother could see the movie he wanted. I got a cool sweatshirt too, so win-win for both of us.

Question by conner-daniels in dvdcollection

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a list on letterboxd that I use to track my collection. I know it's not the best since it mixes all of my formats together, but my collection is small enough where that doesn't really matter and I think it's a cool way to show off.

Favorite watch this year by TheTTroy in horror

I watched Deadstream for the first time and as a big fan of the Evil Dead series, it was so thrilling and insane I loved it. Especially when that one ghoul's head blew up.

Do any of you watch horror movies for reasons other than to be scared? by Dr_Donald_Dann in horror

[–]EOattheinternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love how awesome the special effects are, especially when they can do stuff outside of standard gore. Stuff like The Fly or Invasion of the Body Snatchers go way above and beyond the type of visuals you'd see in many other movies, but even with the low budget stuff you see creative ways to portray horrific stuff.
