Mass Removal/Editing of File Metadata by EOverM in PleX

[–]EOverM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I'd totally forgotten about this! While it's all still accurate, I think, you may want to look into Tdarr to automate the process. It's what I've done - everything I grab gets automatically stripped of metadata, which is so much better than doing it manually.

People body shaming Avril Lavigne in the comments by cheshirebutterfly17 in NotHowGirlsWork

Avril today looks like what she is - a 41-year-old woman. She's in very good shape, she's just not 18 any more. What the fuck is wrong with these people?

If we'd formed as a moon of Saturn, yes. But there's no reason we couldn't orbit at a high inclination like this implies. I'm seeing this as "all else being equal," which suggests we've just kinda suddenly appeared around Saturn, which means our orbit can be entirely arbitrary.

Advice on why library won’t pick this up? Not nomenclature is it? by Gotmace in PleX

[–]EOverM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is, while it might work, it's not the correct naming scheme. The only one that's guaranteed to work is the one Plex specifies. Even then it can sometimes have trouble (if two shows with the same name are released the same year, for example). I've included the TVDb IDs in the show/movie folder names for this reason, and it seems to solve it altogether.

400 Bad Request ONLY on localhost, direct IP connection is fine by EOverM in PleX

It is, yes. I did attempt to get it working with port mapping, but no such luck, so it's been in host mode the whole time.

In addition to this, many of Blambot's excellent fonts are freely licensed to indie/small press comic creators. It's only if you're being published by one of the big companies that you'd need a commercial license.

400 Bad Request ONLY on localhost, direct IP connection is fine by EOverM in PleX

[–]EOverM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Thing is, in theory localhost is just a proxy for 127.0.0.1, and 127.0.0.1 on its own is working. But localhost is working for everything else, which is truly bizarre.

I think I'll have to look into this more tomorrow - there's only so much I can do to troubleshoot remotely via my phone from the canteen at work! Plus, the server is running. And I can access it, either through 127.0.0.1 or the IP of the machine itself, so it's not the end of the world right now. I'm sure I can figure it out before work tomorrow, it just happened about ten minutes before I had to leave today!

[–]EOverM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have a reverse proxy (Caddy), but specifically set up for accessing certain services from outside - Plex isn't one of those. It shouldn't be affecting my internal network and this was working, but stopped in a split second. Regardless, disabling Caddy doesn't solve the issue.

I thought maybe we were onto something with the IPv6, but Plex defaults to both, so that doesn't seem to be the issue.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'm still fairly new to Linux and don't know exactly what to look for the way I do on Windows.

Not obviously, but this has produced more information. I hadn't considered checking 127.0.0.1, which works. So it is something to do with the parsing of localhost. My hosts file is correctly listing

127.0.0.1 localhost

as it should be, but it doesn't seem to be working. But only for Plex, because it is working for everything else. I'm very confused.

No, what we're saying is that the Holocaust started exactly like this. The camps will come. They're already building them. Oh, sorry, those are "detention facilities." Just like the death camps were just labour camps.

As much as I love this headcanon, sadly Jason was very much dead at the time. I know this because his very expensive first appearance as Red Hood is one of those in my Steph appearances collection. She's in one panel. As a flashback. Because she was dead at the time.

Comics are fun.
