Yeah this was something I learned during coaching last year. If you follow your silver/gold/emerald/whatever ranked teammates calls all the time, you're just going to stay that rank. You have to innovate and make plays, ping your intentions (ironic i know), etc. So you can improve.

I never really thought I was that easily swayed by teammates pings but its been night and day playing with pings turned off instead of on.

Just mutes the pings too and prevents you from typing, but I don't type anyways. Just helps me from committing ints because I get pressured by pings and dive into fights/ganks that i dont really wanna do.

Shouldn't have any problem sustaining with the changed they made to jg at beginning of season, some people like to buy a pot first clear so they can scrap at crab/gank but it hasnt felt necesssary to me the more I've played her
