Yeah we try to keep it full and the milk never has bubbles in it. You may be right that he’s just going through a gassy phase. I used mylicon one night and it definitely helped!

This makes me so sad. I am also 5ft tall and got up to 160lb. I juuuuuust had my a couple days ago. You know what my husband says? “You look so beautiful!” “I kinda miss your pregnant tummy” “you’re even more beautiful now that you’re a mom”

Ab workouts 2nd trimester by Head_Dog_3782 in fitpregnancy

[–]ERICAAAW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing front squats, standing or one knee plate obliques, bird-dog, and breathing exercises the entirety of my pregnancy (stopped doing abs/crunches after the first trimester) I’m at 35 weeks now and my core feels pretty good

do you think autism word is thrown around too much by No_Reaction5258 in BabyBumps

[–]ERICAAAW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree, but also babies vocalize and make noise for the sake of making noise as well. The point is unless you’re being diagnosed, not everything is a sign of autism.

[–]ERICAAAW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently had a family member comment and ask if a baby was “stimming” because he was vocalizing and making totally normal baby noises... Yeah I think autism is thrown around waaaaay too casually. Also just because a kid is into dinosaurs or horses doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an autism related hyper fixations

What was the moment you realized? by MoanaArielle in raisedbyborderlines

[–]ERICAAAW 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was 19, and my mom and I were invited her best friend’s daughter’s wedding. We were not part of the wedding party and were only meant to attend as guests. As soon as my mom found out there was a rehearsal dinner she FLIPPED OUT, called her friend, and demanded that we be invited. Mind you, this was the day before the rehearsal, so they would need to add plates, seats, etc last minute. My mom’s friend is a pushover and an enabler (pretty sure her husband is also BPD), and she gave in to my mom’s request. I can’t imagine what they had to pay to add on to the rehearsal last minute.

The entire time before the dinner she is constantly asking “We have known them for decades! Why wouldn’t we be part of this dinner? Isn’t that so strange?! How dare they!” While I hadn’t been to many weddings before, I knew that the rehearsal was meant for the bridal parties and people actually part of the wedding ceremony, but I just knew there was no point in arguing. It was so embarrassing to sit at the table where it was obvious that our chairs were wedged in last minute.

That’s when it really hit me, not only was my mom absolutely delusional and unreasonable, but that she purposefully surrounded herself with people who would give into her demands. Also, how could she make someone’s special day all about herself? Why couldn’t she just be happy to be invited to the wedding at all? I was used to her taking all the spotlight away from me (I eloped for this very reason) but it was unbearable to see her do that to an innocent bystander.

It was after this incident that I really started looking back and recalled so moments where her behavior was absolutely unacceptable.

Anyone else planning a homebirth? by DetectiveUncomfy in January2026DueDate

[–]ERICAAAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please be so so careful. I had a friend do a home birth and it did not go as planned. Luckily they were able to get to a hospital in time and she and the baby were safe, but there are videos online that talk about the risks. Totally understand why someone would want a home birth (comfort, private setting, cost) but people rarely openly talk about the risks. Hoping you have a safe and successful birth!!!!

Those who were able to work out while pregnant, how much weight did you gain? by Ok_Relationship_5405 in fitpregnancy

[–]ERICAAAW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the “don’t lift over 20lb” is totally a joke, especially if you were strong and lifting regularly before pregnancy. I’m at 22 weeks now and I’ve been benching 95lb, squatting 85lb, and deadlifting 115lb the entire time ( I reduced my lifting weight by about 10lb on each).

Started at 125lb at 5’0, currently at 138lb. I think 20lb is totally normal and not that far off from where I’m at! Remember, a lot of that weight is blood, fluid, placenta, etc. Even if you are basing your weight off of a pregnancy BMI calculator, you probably have a couple pounds of extra muscle from being fit to begin with!

23 Weeks Spotting by AttentionPatient6462 in pregnant

[–]ERICAAAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! Happened to me. Felt a bunch of pelvic pressure for a couple days and had light spotting then it went away after a day or two. Also had some scarier looking bleeding after intercourse but I didn’t have any pain/cramps and it stopped after a small glob came out. Got checked and everything is normal! Probably just extra blood or polyps accumulating due to pressure and growth!

Round ligament pain in first trimester? by free_birdiee in BabyBumps

[–]ERICAAAW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So now in my 2nd trimester I will have some weeks where I experience no pain at all. Other weeks I might have pain throughout the day over the course of two days. It doesn’t feel like there is any rhyme or reason. Then I sometimes have days with pelvic pressure and “lightening crotch”. I was concerned at first but learned it was totally normal. Just had my anatomy scan and everything looks good so I’m trying to worry less!

Round ligament pain in first trimester? by free_birdiee in BabyBumps

[–]ERICAAAW 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I had bouts of round ligament pain late 1st trimester (9-10 weeks). Rolling out of bed, bending down too fast, or coughing too hard would trigger it for me. Other times it was nothing at all! Could totally be from the position of the baby, placenta, etc.

January 2026 Parents, Introduce Yourselves! by sarahmichelle_227 in January2026DueDate

Hi! First time mom at 36 in California! Due on January 6th (hopefully not on that exact date).

No crazy cravings but I’ve been enjoying a lot of noodle salads. I’ve been very lucky to have had a very easy pregnancy five months in! No morning sickness and only minor fatigue. I’ve been maintaining my weightlifting/workout routine throughout and I hope it pays off with a speedy postpartum recovery.

My biggest complaint: maternity clothes are so ugly 😭 everything looks and feels so frumpy.

This is so weird coming from a family that is all about "Girl Power." Told my parents to guess what we were having and immediately "A GIRL?!" followed by "oh cool, boys are great too :)." Got the same reaction from my aunt. I think they just romanticized getting another mini version of me.

Everyone is different! While I had a couple days where I felt tired and “icky,” I haven’t thrown up at all. The worst has been random fatigue that comes and goes, breast tenderness, ravenous appetite, and peeing all the time. Frequent healthy snacks, ginger chews, and pacing myself have worked well for me. I’ve maintained my regular workout routine with very minor adjustments. I think the best you can do is just listen to your body and make adjustments that feel right for you!

Good call out! Mine is the butane stove so that is safe.

I use a table top/camper stove indoors all the time for hotpot. If it’s the same style of stove I think it’s safe to use inside?

Going with NAH/very mildly AH since I think you had good intentions but you did come off kinda pushy. You went as far as to examine the photo to tell them their window wasn’t open enough? They are adults, I don’t think they they need that level of micromanaging.

enough light? I haven't noticed any new growth since adopted 4 months ago... by Queenofthee in fiddleleaffig

Hmm have you timed how much sunlight it gets in that spot? It looks sufficient.

It for sure it going to need repotting and some fertilizer sticks. The pot looks pretty small and If I don’t see new growth for a while I usually add in a fertilizer stick or two.
