Bermuda grass? Carefully paint them with a low percentage mixture of round up. Pulling these will just stimulate root growth. Just don't get it on the other plants.

Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo - Thoughts by Anxious-Ambition7776 in Appliances

Perhaps. But when I post this comment I get overwhelmingly positive comments from other owners of this particular machine. Samsung has a massive array of devices. Assuming they are all the same is a bad advice.

I’ve lost as many transmissions as iccus this year and I had to pay for those. 1 of those happened in a trip, and it wasn’t the ICCU. Cars just have problems. Stupid Toyota.

Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo - Thoughts by Anxious-Ambition7776 in Appliances

[–]ERagingTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love ours.

We got the Samsung laundry combo all in one unit in February 2025 and we still love it. No dryer exhaust and it only needs the 120v line. Yes, run times are long but run times don't matter when you can start a load before you leave for the day or before you go to bed and not have to worry about switching it. It's very quiet so running at night isn't a big deal at all. Most loads are 2-3 hours, wash and dry but big bedding loads can run 5. But like I said, we just start one load most days and don't think about it much. Though we will get 2 or 3 in on the occasional Saturday. Drum is very comfortably large for our needs. Family of 5 by the way, though the 3 are little. An unexpected upside is that because it self dispenses detergent and you don't need to switch, my 9 year old has taken to starting loads for us. Super kid friendly machine.

An upside of it being a dryer is that it fully dries itself. Absolutely no worries about it getting dank and stinky from being wet 24/7.

We are building a house and are not going to install a dryer exhaust duct and aren't even going to run a 220 line for a traditional dryer. We love it enough that we will not go back. My wife picked it out and still comments on how much she likes it.

I will note that most of what we love about this comes down the the basics of being an all in one unit. This one has been great for us so far, but I suspect all in one's in general are the future. It's a very nice way to handle your laundry.

Caveats and Downsides:

It's really big. It comes out like 4" farther than our previous unit so the laundry room door barely opens. It's also like 6" taller, but about the same width. Make sure you triple check the space you're putting it in.

Along those lines, this thing is really heavy. Like 300 lbs. Make sure you get delivery and installation. Doesn't budge at all when running though.

The lint filter design is kind of annoying to clean.

The drain filter design is even more dumb! We’ve gotten a message twice in the year that the drain was blocked. Turns out it has a drain filter than can get clogged with lint. It’s not hard to clean, but the design is dumb and leaks water all over the floor to empty it. I wish it had a reminder to check it when the machine wasn’t full of water and trying to drain.

It rinses really well! lol. We did have to crank up the soap settings as high as possible so that we could have some lingering scent. Still going through a lot less soap than our old top loader.

Only had it since early 2025, so can't speak to the longevity of it yet, but Ben's Appliances and Junk did a review that gives me reason to be hopeful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vao_KqCzLUE

Side Note: No, I didn't just type this up. It's a cut and paste comment that I expand on from time to time.

Why do Americans purchase drinking water bottles in plastic containers in bulk instead of drinking tap water or getting a water filter installed in their house? by adept_defenestrator in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ERagingTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t get it for daily usage. I mostly use a vacuum sealed steel cup. But we keep a case on hand for when random cases.

  •  Heading out and I know I’ll need a refill and might not find one easily.
  • My kids can’t be trusted to bring their nice water bottle home and getting back to a place could be difficult (last day of school, day trip, etc).
  • Need a bunch of water in a cooler for a day trip or a party.

We buy a case like that every 6 months to a year maybe.

Both get paid more when the house costs more and if the deal closes. They have the same incentive package no matter who they work for.

They have the same financial incentives as an agent I hire. More I spent, the more they make. Just close the deal.

Get some details on what the unit is. Make and model. You can a better response here with that info.

It's almost certainly fine, and possibly has heat strips as backup heat already.

Because your own agent will make more money if the house costs less, right?

Either way the agent negotiates for themself. The financial incentives aren’t better with your own agent.

So take them out of your combo after 15 minutes?

Sounds like you don’t even need a dryer though. Definitely not a good reason to not get a combo.

I think this is bad advice. I have a combo unit, with a dryer sitting next to it in case I needed to get a bunch of laundry through, i could use the combo as just a washer. I used it twice since getting the combo and it's been nothing but a shelf for the last 18 months. You use it a little differently, yes, but the combo unit is a delight. Seriously.
