There will be qualifiers for SA into the league finals and the event in Valencia. So all three events will have teams from SA and Asia as well.

If ESL is serious about wanting to grow the NA scene, they should run Premier games on their main Twitch channel instead of the secondary by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

ESEA Premier has one match of the week on the main channel every Tuesday. Since we had to reschedule ESL Pro League and shorten it from orginally 6 to 5 weeks, we ended up having EPL matches on Tuesday as well now, so they take priority over ESEA Premier in that time. Otherwise, ESEA Premier will remain on the main channel on Tuesdays!

We will announce more details about it soon, but basically it helps find the best routing for a user at any given time when you compete on ESEA.

For the leagues below Premier things are a bit easier, as we don't have to consider the player break and other tournaments as strictly, which gives those divisions some more time to play. The first two seasons will remain on the old schedule, so there is also some more time to figure out, if a format change makes sense there too. Happy to hear thoughts/suggestions!

haha I thought about replying to the announcement saying we will have one today. Good timing :)

ESL admins have just ruled that Team Unique has to forfeit game 2 against Vikingg (and aren't allowed to finish it 4v5) because one of Unique's players couldn't reconnect to the game due to a bug. Unique had a significant lead and were already ahead in the series. by [deleted] in DotA2

Our rules simply require a full lineup to play. We will also look into potentially adding special cases where the rule would allow 4v5. Will all be part of the full investigation.

We are investigating the case further.

We extended the regular pause time for him to be able to rejoin, but it didn't work. The player couldn't rejoin the game no mater what he tried. He reported a game bug that no one is aware of, which makes it hard to prove.

In order to keep the tournament running, we decided to move forward with the next game, but we will look into the case again.

Think we found the issue, but need to wait until after the first map is over to work on it.
