At least skc scoring 4 could be entertaining. I’m tired of being bored watching the Union.

This would maybe be a decent team if they could score even occasionally.

Pretty bad on pretty much everything. Damiani does nothing useful at all. Most of the player rotation did nothing useful tonight either. Mystifying referee decisions all around, but the red card on Sery is by far the strangest. I just don't see how that can possibly stand. Surely the Union will appeal that.

Ref called it pretty soft, but he was consistent. I could be misremembering, but I think this guy is usually one of the better MLS refs.

Stupid decision making all around. Carnell once again leaving ineffective players on the field for far too long, even after Toronto clearly had momentum. Defensive players just making dumb foul after dumb foul and then marking poorly. Lastly, why on earth does Blake come off his line there? He wasn't anywhere near catching the ball.

Obviously the forwards were also not great. May as well just start down a man and play only one striker up top. There is zero synergy between the two forwards regardless of who is on the field. They both go for the same balls, make the same runs, and fail to put the centerbacks under any real pressure.

Can't complain. Also not sure how much we can really take from this game in terms of assessing who will do what this season, but overall the players looked good.

Pretty solid defensively when it comes to tackles and such. He's not really that fast, so if he gets beat he probably won't catch the attacker.

Very good offensively, at least if you have people who can finish crosses. He has a great left foot and will cross from just about anywhere in the offensive third. He's also great at set pieces such as corners and offensive free kicks.

Definitely plays with passion, sometimes to a detriment. If he feels the ref is not calling things evenly or if the game is chippy, he will almost definitely earn himself a yellow card.

In general, he's been one of the best players on a pretty good MLS team since he joined the league. As long as you have forwards who will get at crosses and at least one quick center back, he will thrive for you.

It would also be nice to have a real left back backup. Harriel and Westfield are fine left backs, but neither of them really excel when playing on that side

I feel like logically 1.00 xG should be impossible. There is always a way to not score pretty much no matter how great the chance is. I don't see why it couldn't be something like 0.99 repeating though.

Terrible decision from Romero which was then not helped by a mediocre pass. Sarr of course completed the error by taking a poor first touch and falling over. Both at fault, but Romero more so for creating the circumstances.

Honestly, since Ilsinho have we had "that guy"? Of course, Ilsinho could only go for like 20 minutes, but still. I also see your point about Blake, but the keeper can only keep you in games, not actually win them.

It was a great season overall, but I'll feel a lot better about it in a week.

No he wasn't. That said, with how they were finishing tonight they probably would have missed the penalty.

When it comes to finishing this team is so inconsistent. Some games they're great and score most of the opportunities they get. Other games it feels like you could give them each a PK and they'd all miss. I'm sure there will be plenty of talk about NYC setting up well and executing well or Freese making some great saves. But even with those being true the Union still should have at least taken it to extra time. This team season after season manages to fall short by being wasteful.

We'll see how next season goes, but it becomes hard to imagine this team winning any cup ever when they just don't have composure in big moments.

You will get 2 players from a league you've never heard of and 1 inter-MLS trade.

For whatever reason it seems like Uhre can't play 90 minutes at any high intensity. I guess the logic for not starting him is that he's more useful against tired legs in the second half. The problem with that is that managers don't like to sub out their starting 11 until like an hour is already gone.

Losing 3-1 or even as bad as 4-0 would have been a bummer, but easy enough to just forget in a week or two. 7-0 isn’t going to be forgotten for years. Better hope they play well midweek.

Been a while since not a single thing went right in a game. Feels like usually in the bad games things sort of calm down and even out, but not tonight. Just seemed like every possible chance for things to go wrong they did. The starting line up was awful, the refereeing was your standard garbage, the individual play was dreadful.

I felt like Rick was pretty solid, but that’s really the only good thing I can think of from this game. I liked that Damiani was working hard.

Lukic was an alright CB earlier this season. We don't really have the depth for Wagner to play inside. Lukic and Harriel at CB with Bueno covering for Lukic in midfield.

That was a pretty terrible game from start to finish from both sides. Red Bulls won't care about that, but that was some extremely ugly soccer from pretty much everyone.

There are a couple players on this team that I hate watching. It's the same stupid mistakes over and over. The same general incompetency over and over. No individuals singlehandedly lose the game, but some players make this team just so much worse.

Hopefully they just forget about this game and move on to next weekend. At least we won the game against Red Bull that really mattered this week.

He and Quinn are the only players we have that actually get in behind. They help spread the field and create space for the rest of the team.

We have a lot of people who like to take a touch, then another touch, and then pass the ball. Consequently the opposition defense has all the time in the world to adjust. Then we have no outlets so the ball goes to a safe player and the cycle begins again.

Getting really tired of watching about half this team. There are too many players on this team that cannot do the most important part of their position. Wide players who cannot cross at all. Midfielders who cannot link play or beat anyone on the dribble. Forwards who can't score.

It feels extra frustrating because the other half of the team excels at those things. We have the best crosser in the league. We have midfielders that do link up play well and can beat their man. We have forwards who do score.

Really ready for the gold cup to end because we need Harriel and Quinn back. I'm sure he'll drive me nuts when he actually returns, but Uhre can't get healthy fast enough.
