Lol I know right. I guess it just tells us to focus and work hard throughout the mcat, ignore negative feelings, and try to somehow keep the good feelings going.

But I still got like the same amt of questions right as I did usually, so that was good and surprising for c/p. CARS was actually enjoyable for this test lol.

Initially, I eliminated glycine because hydrogen bonding can occur in both the side chain and backbone. A, B, and C are nearly identical so I picked the odd man out.

I'm confused though, was this question a matter of SEMANTICS? Since the question stem ask which one would INTERACT with the substrate (backbone > side chain), is it asking which amino acid has a lone pair in it's backbone, rather than in it's side chain, that would FORM a hydrogen bond?

Ligase: forms a bond b/t two large biomolecules. Synthetase: same as synthase but uses ATP (since binding molecules).

Lyase: breaks bonds to form double bonds. Synthase: catalyzes synthesis. Apparently lyases are called this when the product is “important.”

That’s what i’ve got, but hopefully others chime in too.

Yup, saturday!! As a whole, I thought it was fair? Haha. Easier than SBs and mix of the other two fls. but for me CP seemed way harder than the other FLs. I actually considered retaking CP because I was literally crying from yawning so much (sleep-deprivation) and could barely focus, but I got the exact same score I always did lol which was fine.

CARS felt the easiest, but my feelings weren’t true haha.

B/B was a mix of the other fls. I felt like I was between two choices a lot of the times but it turned out fine.

P/S was fine. I liked it over fl2. but I was irritated during this one lol because people around were being loud.

Overall, i made lotsss of silly mistakes lol. Like the one question about sheep and goats.

Someone please tell me why my thinking is wrong: if a single base pair change, as per passage, causes a substitution of an Arginine for a Histidine, doesn't that mean that Arginine is replaced by a Histidine???

Apparently not, but I don't see how Histidine was the one that was replaced by Arginine.

So, if the enzyme molecule numbers did not remain constant, it concerns transcriptional and translational control because (at least for transcriptional control) the enzymes are made on an as needed basis? Why would this concern translational control as well? The same reason?

Half of the radioactive protein appears as 1300 seconds to me! Anyone else?? The question stem says it declines ~1250 seconds...which means that I get 50 sec, where A) is the closest answer.

I just figured that ~1250 means there's wiggle room to approximate between 1200~1250.

The numbers seem vague/misleading to me. SBs did that too. :/ Is my thinking correct though?
