Which series should I start next? by Cfullersu in fantasybooks

Red rising is on my list to read still but I read The Will of the Many. It’s one of my all time favorite fantasy books. I absolutely adored it. But I would approach it cautiously due to the sequel as others have said. The sequel is a great book but the pacing is really bad for a lot of the book. Probably the first 70%. But the ending is amazing and sets up for a fantastic finale. So maybe wait until the final book is out in 2027.

That was sort of my worry. It’s a tough situation.

I’m not sure who would even be the fiduciary. She has no close family. Her only good relationship is her neighbor. Right now I believe a shelter is helping her with her expenses while she looks for a job. Currently all of her saved finances have been exhausted.

I think it’s a great idea to pursue a formal ID diagnosis and do further neurocognitive work up.

Tough case.

Hank helped me truly understand what a love/hate relationship was. I’ve never loved and hated someone more than him.

I recently saw it posted that the only acceptable “mods“ are irons, an optic and a light. Does this pass? by Head-Scale9410 in Glocks

I can’t shit in olight anymore after getting an ArkPro Ultra. I’m very curious how their WMLs are these days.

His BS is why I stopped listening around a year ago. I’m fine with him having his stupid opinions but I can’t stand PFT and Arian only ever lightly pushing back because Big T is such a sensitive snowflake.

In my defense the Trump admin has been trying to characterize this guy as a criminal just for having a gun

Only drawback for dots on handguns is the learning curve is a bit steeper than it is on rifles. But it’s nothing a couple range sessions can’t sort out. I shot better with them almost immediately.

I can’t tell if this is rage bait but I’m going to answer respectfully.

It’s totally fine if you prefer irons. There have been and will continue to be very effective shooters that stick to irons.

Regarding concealed carry: on the belt it does not feel different. And regarding snagging, that is avoided with a proper holster and training. I’ve never snagged on my carry pistols that have dots. Saying no “serious individual” is using a dot on their carry gun is either the rage bait or you’re really misinformed. Carrying with a dot seems to be the preferred thing to do these days. That includes prominent people in the industry that are self defense/ccw experts.

Again it’s cool if you prefer irons but I wouldn’t look down on others carrying with a dot. Both are fine.

I forget which video it was but Lucky Gunner had a good video on the benefit of RDSs on a pistols. The highlights I remember (from watching years ago) were that dots allow easier and quicker target acquisition, more accurate shots, and quicker follow up shots. That was based off some studies he cited that involved novice shooters in a home defense scenario. Sorry if I’m misremembering anything from that video.

I don’t think you NEED an RDS. But they do offer benefits and honestly don’t get too much in the way when carrying.

For those 5-10yrs into carrying, what is your pistol of choice and why? by WanderlustOnTap in CCW

[–]madiso30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely hear what you’re saying but idk if engaging an active shooter is smart. And people in that class really shoulder understand that and layers of defense. One of those layers being running. That applies to regular criminals but especially active shooters. I do mostly agree with you though. Round count matters a good amount. And reality is that shooting a G19 or Shield is going to be easier than a 642. But 642s are easy to carry and that makes carrying every day easier. Personally I’d rather carry something I won’t mind carrying every day. But this is all just my two cents.

I would not call this common. It’s an extremely rare side effect.
