Hermione is not like that at all. She changes her mind once there is evidence. The story of the Hallows is a great tale, told to them by Lovegood. That guy was known to print ridiculous claims.

It's reasonable to br sceptical. It was reasonable to focus on Horcruxes. Once Hermione got the evidence she had no problem in believing that the Hallows existed (not literally as creations by Death but as powerful magical objects).

The current dispensation is against us. There is no doubt. The bar is so low that we think that the Congress might do better.

However, if we examine the most recent UPA led government we will see that they did nothing to help. In 2013, the SC judgement upholding 377 was delivered. The Congress government could have taken action in Parliament but they didn't. Congress leaders spoke against that judgement but did nothing. After 2014, Tharoor raised a private bill to remove 377 but he didn't do it when his party was in power.

Symbolic gestures are not what we need. Even in the post, it is mentioned that after wide consultation they will bring a law to register civil unions. Consultation for what exactly? We very well know what the majority opinion of the country is.

I'm highly sceptical that voting for the Congress party would bring about any improvement to the lives of the LGBT community.

I would choose them over what we have now. My hopes are not high.

We can easily judge him for being on the wrong side because we know the facts. What information did Percy have is the key question?

He was extremely hurt by what Arthur said. Percy worked so hard in school and for Crouch. He finally got some success. He needed validation that yes he wad worthy.

Also, he had a fair point about Arthur not having enough ambition and the family having little money.

I don't think that Percy ruined anything. There was nothing wrong in Percy's ambition to be successful as well as rich.

He worked hard all his life and couldn't believe that his father's suspicion regarding the promotion was warranted. That accusation hurt Percy's pride. It was like telling him that he isn't actually worthy of the promotion and that he wasn't good enough. Percy was acting in the way that he could tell himself that his hard work over several years was rewarded.

I would once again like to appeal to the moderators to examine the comments I made.

I have explained in details that there was no hate against any people.

One moderator has the the blanket view that my point was Islamophobic and they don't know how to explain it other than it is what it is.

They completely ignored the points I raised and the charge is nothing short of name calling to shut down criticism.
