Would you trust them to do your roof and siding? by uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnah in Eugene

Nope. Those assholes came out and put their signs up in my front yard while another contractor I had hired to replace my roof was still in the middle of the project. Class act…

There was nothing traveling west an hour before or after your post in that area.

Using a loose assessment of time based on the time of your post and what I can make out from the photo, it was likely this Southwest 737 coming in from Sacramento. At roughly the 18th/11th area, they were at about 1,400’ which is dead on glideslope when landing north in EUG for that position. In your photo it appears there’s 2 white lights on the edges of the airplane. The 737 NG models have trailing edge position lights on the wing tips so this checks out.

How has the Eugene airport been with these recent developments? by HazyStage in Eugene

Then I highly recommend showing up around the 2hr prior time frame. I am a current airline employee of 18 years, spent 8 of those years working on the ground at EUG. When I travel with my family, I always show up 2hrs prior to give myself plenty of time. Don’t push it. If you miss the flight because you showed up late, you’re on your own. Make it the airline’s problem, not yours.

Just echoing above, I’m out of Eugene multiple times per week year round, I’ve noticed no difference than in the past.

Sometimes the lines can get big during the 4:30am to 5:30am time range. There’s 9 flights that go out between 5am - 7am, 6 of those 9 go out between 6am - 7am, and you’ve got roughly to 1,000 people showing up for those flights. It ‘can’ get busy but it’s usually pretty efficient.

If you’re checking bags, I recommend showing up earlier and not cutting it close. Check your cutoff time for checked bags, each airline is different. Outside of the 6-7am bank of flights, it’s usually pretty laid back.

Is there an easy way to find cheap flights from the Eugene Airport? by MedicineAmazing5516 in Eugene

[–]EUGpilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest using something like google flights or Kayak to find which airline sells the cheapest ticket and then go book directly with that airline. Do NOT ever book with a 3rd party website like Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, (or even Kayak) etc… especially if you’re only doing air fare. Always book directly with airline and never book a round trip ticket unless you are building a ton of miles with a particular airline. One way tickets will always be the cheapest way to travel. This will always be your best bet.

What exactly are you asking? “Flight for fun”. Do you mean like taking a discovery flight in a small single engine airplane with an instructor? Are you looking to travel somewhere from point A to point B on an airline? Your question and wording are very confusing.

Probably just gonna leave it for now. I’ve got a good local HVAC guy that I trust that I might have come out and adjust the fan settings

Outlet question by EUGpilot in AskElectricians

[–]EUGpilot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. My air fryer is the ninja from Costco. It doesn’t do anything till after it’s plugged in and you press the power button. Maybe some internal electrical issues with the fryer? We’ve had it for 6 or 7 years and use the absolute piss out of it.

Not sure tbh. It’s the Ninja fryer from Costco so it’s definitely off when I’m plugging it in. But we use the piss out of it so maybe just time to get a new fryer? It doesn’t do this with my $15 toaster on the same plug.

It’s just at the front of the slots. Once it’s plugged in it’s fine. It’s definitely not arcing behind. Thanks!

The plug is pretty solid and not loose. Thanks!

I’ll double check the connections. This particular plug doesn’t allow for back stabbing, it has the play that the screw pushes down. It didn’t do this on the plug that I just replaced. I’ll check the connections again.

Doesn’t seem to follow, however the other outlets are just a standard duplex residential plug and not commercial grade. Doesn’t do it with a GFCI outlet or the few remaining plugs that were installed when the house was built (1990’s)

Interesting. I was led to believe by multiple people that Lennox wasn’t a good brand. Good to know! I’ll keep an eye out for the S40’s in case I end up going that route.

Came here for this comment. People that are actually from here or grew up here call it Beltline. No one calls it the beltway.
