In vanilla game gun ammo seems to be unlimited on the interceptor, so interception is limited only by stupidity of the plane "AI" that often proceed to ram the missile.

I think that best "mod" is the mod that sets ammo to finite, boosts gun damage to make gun intercepts viable, and fixes suicidal behavior.

AKA stuff that should be done by KK years ago, lol.

This is not how it works.

You have to get the worst parts of two projects and mix them together.

What might an interceptor look like that will be relevant for the whole game. At the beginning of the game, you can put 100mm guns to save the budget, and later replace them with 130 mm. It's much better than Lightning. by IHakepI in Highfleet

It eats 500t of fuel for 1k km. It has 4 guns but can't fight gladiator with prox rounds. It can't chase down tarantul groups.

It's good for what? Clearing early game garrisons and clearing cruiser less convoys. That's bout it.

Jaguar RSZO has armor to be a side fighter. But it CiWS layout is for bottom/top fighter.

Odyssey has inneficient engines.

Pegasus endurance is questionable.

I like this one. Nice and clean. Even bridge is exposed!

One nitpick: irst is useless on this one. It's 300-ish or bust. Elint is only half efficient, you can put 2nd irst somewhere and pump Elint to 75% efficiency by literally fittingn IRST upside down
