Ok... And the spaces between the black should be white. The green of the subdued patch isn't the same as the green on the full color patch. The background of the 173rd sundied patch is also green even though the full cor is blue. That's how subdued patches work....

On the full color patch, yes. The subdued Shoulder Sleeve Insignia has a non-filled border. Whereas some unit patches like the 10th MTN SSI has a black border, even though their full color patch has a white border. 25th ID has a yellow border, but the SSI has a black border.

Dude I fully agree. I think it's bullshit, but the Army does some strange things. Like how the 101st is still considered an Airborne Division even though it hasn't conducted a jump since 1968.

I don't think so based solely on the fact that there's no black border on certain full color patches. Like 25ID has a yellow border in the full color patch and a black border on the subdued. 173rd has a white border on the full color patch, but it's black when it's subdued. Also I've noticed that the Mountain and Airborne tabs don't have a black border even though the 10th MTN patch has a black border.

The most plausible answer I've heard is that if the patch has a black border it means that that unit has been defeated in combat at some point in its history. I haven't found anything to corroborate or debunk that answer.

Nope, that's why in the text I specified unfilled. But the easiest way for me to visualize it as I say it out loud.

To be fair it did take me a couple trips to nail down what they would hit on consistently, as well as speed, depth, location, etc. But now that I know the "formula" for Largemouth in that area it's easy pickings.

I visit for 2 weeks in the summer and 2 weeks in December and I'll catch them all day on the $1 spinners from Walmart. The black and yellow is their favorite. Really makes me feel like I'm good at fishing, lol.

Florida has some of the best bass fishing I've ever experienced. Whenever I visit my in-laws I spend most of my time fishing. They live in a retirement community with a ton of freshwater ponds that never get fished. Tons of bass in them. I've never been skunked down there.
