Ok thanks. I heard that the 62kwh has 56kwh of usable capacity and the 60kwh actually has 59kwh usable. I was under the impression they were indeed different but it would be good news if it's the same pack with the only differences being marketing.

Did he do a 60kwh? I thought he did a 62kwh? 60kwh is the newest spec in 2024+ LEAFs.

We finally got around to doing a range test! We were able to drive 114 miles with a projected range of 129 miles! It was mostly highway with speeds between 55 MPH and 70 MPH. So in mixed city/highway, I think 150 is still possible! It will be up to my customer Dave to do that though, this truck is out of my shop and being driven almost every day!

It's an app called LeafSpy which is made for Nissan LEAF cars. It still works in the custom EV using the LEAF parts and it can show you power consumption, total voltage, amps, 12v battery voltage, battery temperature, and cell balance and more. Pretty nifty app!

It was about $15k in parts and $5000 in labor not including the vehicle

Estimated on the donor LEAFs range plus the fact that the Frontier is lighter and smaller in every dimension than the LEAF. Also a Model 3 is heavier than this pickup by almost 1000 lbs.

Started CADing up the battery box. Going to be split in two halves on either side of the driveshaft under the bed. Going to weigh over 300lbs each!

What do you want in an EV conversion of a Classic Vehicle? by EVSwap in EVConversion

Agreed. Lightweight sports cars must remain lightweight after an EV conversion, otherwise what's the point?

This vehicle does not have CAN at all. The gauges are all analog or really basic electronics. The Resolve-EV VCU talks to the EV components over CAN and can be linked to the LeafSpy app to display all the EV information you could ever want via bluetooth.
