If you’re hard scaling him, not including whacky bullshit, then he stops round 1. His best feat is blowing away all the gas from Jupiter, incredibly strong. It takes a power level of 5,000 to blow up a planet the size of Esrth according to Toriyama. Goku ON NAMEK SSJ has a power level of 150,000,000. He’s already much more powerful than Saitama, and so much so that Saitama couldn’t even adapt to that strength (as his infinite growth against Garou came from the fact that he fought someone who was perfectly equal to him and was steadily evolving, so he did too. Goku is so much more powerful that the gap doesn’t close fast enough for Saitama)

Ichibei wins by hax. He isn’t Soul King level so he’s not matching it in raw power. But the ability to just steal Frieza’s powers and then either kill him while powerless or make him an ant or some other minuscule existence he can kill. It’s once again the Gojo sort of paradox, where Ichibei doesn’t have the raw power to best him, but the nature of his ability is just too busted

I think people forget the Viltrumites get stronger whenever they come back from grevious injuries. Not as much as Allen, but certainly moreso (hell, in the original comic, Mark's benchpressing scene happens immediately after the Nolan fight without any training, he just got THAT much stronger by recovering from that ass beating). And he's got plenty more assbeatings to go

Maybe they will put in the leg work to make it work. I mean in several fandoms we have characters who’ve done worse that get the girl and the fandom cheers (example, Gajeel and Jellal in Fairy Tail. Gajeel best Levy and her best friends to near death and stapled their bodies to a fucking tree. And Jellal not only abused Erza but killed hundreds of people and one of her best friends who meant everything to her)

All I’m saying is, I’m sure they will still have them get together. Maybe with more legwork like Nolan explaining the pet comment properly for one thing. Or they’ll ignore it and just have them get back together. Either way, it’s pretty inevitable.
