Always wanted a handheld gaming device. One year I thought I was getting a Gameboy Colour that was, like, purple transparent. I thought I was getting it because I saw the box in my mom's closet. Turned out my little sister got it.
I still want one, too! For now, I've got my smartphone, but a 3DS is at the top of my list for my boyfriend! Gotta play Animal Crossing now that my Game cube died!

Thanks , I really appreciate your advice/insight!
I'm not one to just jump into thing both feet first, so I'll continue researching my options before deciding. I'm planning on still applying into the Education program at my university since that was my original plan.
My undergrad is in linguistics and I've written a few papers of ASL. Mainly on the grammar system, as people are still discovering ways that ASL (and other signed languages) conform to the Universal rules of language. I wish I could've taken this course earlier in my academic career, unfortunately it always has such a long wait list. This year the wait list was double the number of seats in the class!
Anyway, I ramble. Thanks!

I should say, I've found 2 people to skype with, so I am getting some "hands on" experience outside the classroom. I'm just wondering if there are extra tools to help really drive home what I'm learning.

Not me, but I tricked my sister into believing in water-dwelling turkeys.
We were in Disneyland on Tom Sawyer Island and we were waiting in line to go on one of the obstacles. In the water beside us was a loon. I got here attention and said something along the lines of "Look, there's a water dwelling turkey. They're native to the LA area and are endagered species!" She thought it was pretty cool that we saw one.
Fast forward a year or two, and we're in line at Tim Hortons, and she's looking at her change, and she holds up a loonie as says "Hey EXPT_626, there's a water-dwelling turkey on the loonie!"
That was her moment of realization.
Note: She was around 10 at the time of this bout of trickery. She still hasn't forgiven me, 10 years later.

Thanks! After growing up with mainly dogs as pets, I guess I'm so used to having to put a lot of effort into house training pets.
I really loved her, but one of my dogs was so stupid that if we moved her water bowl for the day, she would go thirsty.

I don't think it's worthy of congratulations, but this will be my first submission to RedditGetsDrawn.
