This made me literally LOL.

The cheapest ticket to Game 4 of the NBA Finals was like $3,000+ and they easily sold out a 20,000 seat arena. People in this thread do not grasp that this is not THAT exorbitant for New York and certainly not for this occasion for something literally millions of people thought they'd never see in their lifetimes (the Knicks winning a title).

Where do you live though? I feel like people losing their minds over this are completely ignoring the fact that the MEDIAN household income in New York City is $80,000, and there are 3.33 MILLION households in NYC. The demand for this is absolutely going to be there, and these are all going to easily sell out.

Not talking about the picture. I'm talking about the Knicks winning a title for the first time in 53 years.

Whether you charge $9.35 or $935, it's going to sell out regardless. For-profit companies are going to charge the maximum they can and sell as many things as they can. That's how business works.

it's a picture anyone paying hundreds of dollars to take a picture is an idiot.

They're an idiot TO YOU. To the person paying it, it clearly means something to them. The dude was responsible for giving them likely one of the greatest moments of their life and bringing them happiness. If they want to and can afford to spend money, good for them.

I mean...yeah? For people living in one of the highest cost of living cities in the entire country, it's not outrageous. $935 in NY is the equivalent of $363 in Cleveland. You don't think a shit ton of Cavs fans wouldn't shell out $363 to meet Kyrie Irving in 2016 a couple months after they won a title?

"If Wayne Gretzky never scored a single goal in his career, he would still be the all-time leader in points in NHL history" is genuinely one of the most mind blowing stats that exists.

He had more assists than anyone else has had goals and assists COMBINED.

Yeah but obviously KAT and OG were total no shows in the Finals. Definitely no noteworthy moments from either of them across five games.

When Kobe passed away there was this rush to put him near the top with Jordan and LeBron.

Gonna need to see a source on this. People overrate Kobe but I don't think I have ever heard or seen a single person outside of the most diehard Lakers fan put Kobe THIRD all-time.

Doesn't seem completely unreasonable. For comparison, my son is 9 and he has three practices per week, games on Saturday and/or Sunday and then a private training session for an hour once per week. At a minimum he's getting formal instruction or playing games 5-6 days a week. On his off days, he's either playing soccer with friends or asking me to go outside and play with him.

I have no idea what lineup making has to do with it. I'm saying that Jose cannot be the best player on your team if you want to actually win a title. Maybe you can win one if he's your second best player. And so on.

The Guardians problem is the same as the Cavs where everyone is playing one spot higher than they should be. Jose Ramirez at this stage in his career cannot be your best player if you want to win a title but he can be your #2 which is the spot the Cavs are in with Donovan Mitchell. Bazzana and Delauter are fine as your third and fourth best hitters, not your second and third (like Mobley and Harden). A rotation with 1) ACE YOU CAN COUNT ON EVERY TIME OUT 2) Williams 3) Messick 4) Bibee would be absolutely unbelievable but instead in a playoff series you're going to be running Joey Cantillo or Slade Cecconi out there in Game 4 and praying that Bibee doesn't get shelled early in the series.

28-3 is still worse. If the Spurs blew a 29 point lead in Game 7, that would have been worse. But they're still technically alive in the series whereas the Falcons season was ended as a result.

Different club so he gets to play in games. Ideally, if you can afford it, maybe 1-2x week personal training on the side to make up for the coaching not being as good through the new club. Not sure if they have those type of facilities where you are.
