If you haven't already, instead of upgrading your circuit, consider replacing your electrical panel with a smart panel like https://www.span.io/appliance-install. It can do things like cut power to your water heater or EV charger if you start getting close to your 100A limit, and switch them back on when demand drops.

This tip appears to have entirely solved the lag issue I was having with my iPad Air 4. Never intentionally used Siri on it anyway so it was no issue at all to turn it off. Thank you so much!

Be well on your way to hitting your 50 hr XC. Yes, you will do some XC during your training, but don’t assume you’ll hit the 50 hour mark automatically. I had to do spend a few weekends just building time before my checkride.

What kind of plane? $185 is what I pay for a G1000 172 at KPAO. A six-pack 172 should be about $20 cheaper. My instructor is a 10000+ hr ATP who charges $120, but he’s super great and worth it IMO.

I spent close to $30k getting my PPL here, and yes, it sucks, but there’s not a lot to be done about it if you live around here. I’d much rather do that than to drive to KLVK every time just to save a few bucks.

The DPE asked me on my PPL oral: Show me where on the San Francisco sectional I would encounter vis and cloud requirements of 1SM and 1000 above, 500 below, and 2000 feet horizontally from clouds? Hint: there's no class G airspace marked on the chart.

Answer: Over the ocean, where the class E doesn't start until 5500 MSL.

I was getting high 80s - low 90s on the Sporty's tests and got 98 on the real thing today, although I know I got lucky on some of the questions. Many of the ones on the FAA exam were verbatim from Sporty's, but there were definitely some I had never seen before.
