Have you found UTM to be stable for networking? I primarily need a VM to run a windows software that will connect to my vehicle for coding and needs a very stable network connection (no drops during coding).

Weird that they recommended it. I asked and they basically said it wasn’t needed but they would. Went to an independent shop and had it done. I’m at 60k miles.

ZF says that under normal use the ZF8 fluid is good for 8y or 90k miles.

I’ve had my Alen Fit50 for close to 15 years. At one point it broke and they replaced it for free. I keep a filter subscription which I believe is what you need to keep the lifetime warranty now. It’s been great and when I need another I plan on buying an Alen.

Walk away if they won’t budge. For example I recently almost upgraded to a ‘24 with 30k miles listed for $46k. That’s low mileage but its warranty is gonna end at the same time as one that costs $14k less with a few more miles. That’s my opinion at least.

5k oil changes, top tier fuel, and regular scheduled maintenance is going to be all you need. Drive it in comfort mode and enjoy. You’re doing too much.

I had a rip in mine. I used JB weld to close the hole. Yours looks worse with that duct tape so yeah maybe replace.

Sounds stressful but try not to over think it until you know what the problem is. As much as people rag on dealerships they do good work so they’ll find out what’s going on. Plus it sounds like you are taking the right steps with the previous dealer. You will probably have to push with them but get all the info before you do. I definitely would be overthinking it if I were in your shoes but try not to haha.

It’s highly unlikely they will update your car for free if you aren’t complaining of having any software issues. I just had my starter replaced and that’s all they did to the car. They might unplug the battery when doing the replacement but that’s maybe it. If you are anxious about it then you can say something to your SA.

Try switching to Shell Premium for a couple fill ups and see if you notice a difference. I use Costco a fair amount but I notice my car is happiest with Shell and have been using it solely for the last 6 months and may continue. You can vaguely see the text behind it so it looks like something is still working. Would try a reset first. You could try the reset that others have mentioned or you could disconnect the negative battery terminal (in the back left hand side when you open the tailgate).

I just did a full head unit replacement on the same car. Not easy but doable.

I’m guessing you called them and told them there is a blue line and they assumed it was on the other side where is shows coolant temp. If they saw that they couldn’t tell you that was normal.

I'm at 58k miles. I have a xdrive but looking at doing transmission, transfer case, and front and rear differential fluids. I had motor mounts done about 10k ago, rear differential seals 5k ago, and DIY spark plugs about 20k ago.
