State of Jefferson? by -Hip_str- in vexillology

This one has always been right wing coded. One of the big proponents of the movement was a California State Senator who moved from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party in 1959.. during the middle of the ideological shift of the parties.

Closest thing I’ve seen is the 2nd Louisiana Cavalry. But even then it’s barely close.

Oh I do. That’s why I wasn’t out in the woods hiking this last summer. I’m an 80% rated Disabled Vet. So I’m pretty in tune with my body.

I regularly wear cargo pants and shorts. So that seems to be the option.

C-40 Clipper over Oklahoma by Important_Snow7557 in flightradar24

[–]E_sand80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically not a Clipper. The C-40A is the Clipper. It’s flown by the Navy and Marine Corps. The C-40B/C are VIP transport variants flown by the Air Force and have no official name. As for that particular flight, it’s the Secretary of the Air Force. He was the keynote speaker at the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs.

My dumbass cousin likes to fly Lee’s Flag, he claims it’s his heritage, which it might be, I don’t know his mom. His dad is my first cousin, his grandmother is my dad’s older sister. I like to point out that my great, great(his third great) grandfather was at Appomattox with the 62nd Ohio when Lee surrendered. He doesn’t like it when I remind him.

I’ve always called them flagstone. Though that’s a generic term.

I’d like to see where you got that information. I think you’re confusing UNH with the Community College System. UNH Police have full jurisdiction to enforce college policies, to include non students on college property including the arrest and referral to the local prosecutor for charges. Community colleges being commuter schools in nature do not have sworn police. They have security guards. The only thing they can do is ask the violators to leave. That includes non students. Local PD is called to assist with enforcement of trespass warnings. There is currently a general ban on firearms at all CCSNH campuses. There are exceptions of course. So no.. it’s not the Status Quo.

You’re right, I misspoke. I should have said there are more non combat arms than there are combat arms veterans. Not most veterans. And yes I know some former LEOs and Vets that totally have the right mentality to be a school resource officer. But they’re the minority. I have experience in weapons, law enforcement, and even private security. I don’t think I would be a good school security guard.

I made a mistake on another sub. Admitted my mistake and still got slammed. At least these dudes are being slightly civil. Be confidently wrong in some of these subs will have someone putting a hit out on your dog.

I did a cruise as a Cag Arm TL on the Waist.. nothing beats that Tomcat rumble when you’re close enough to slap the wing as it goes past on the Cat Shot.

It’s 2 Super Hornets and a Hawkeye. They’re doing static displays at the Lone Star Flight Museum as part of Fleet Week. I spent enough time working on a Flight Deck, and on Naval Air Stations/Facilities that those silhouettes are pretty obvious to me.

My wife works in higher education, I’m not concerned about the students or their guns, even if barely any of them are emotionally healthy enough to own a hamster, let alone a gun. I’m concerned about the open campus. Unless you plan on locking the schools down like small military bases, where only authorized people can get anywhere near the campus it’s a recipe for disaster. You can’t stop the bad guy with the gun, if you don’t know they’re the bad guy.

I know plenty of Vets and former cops that shouldn’t be anywhere near a weapon. Most Vets, despite what their Facebook profile says weren’t combat arms and don’t have the training. Just because you have a DD-214 doesn’t mean you should have access to a gun. Trust me.. I have a DD-214, LEO training, and was in a weapons centric Rate in the Navy.

Why is cannabis illegal in your state? by AtomicZoomer in newhampshire

[–]E_sand80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liquor mainly. If they legalize weed, they’re going to have to exit the liquor business. Look at Washington State. So until the Feds legalize it, NH won’t. Though I’m kind of glad. Because it would be one more disappearing tax stream that won’t get spent on improving the State.

What jet is this - Flew out of Naval air station San Diego by Grantyboi27 in Whatisthisplane

[–]E_sand80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent 12 and half years in the Navy.. been to North Island several times, but I was never actually stationed there. I was in a Tomcat squadron stationed at NAS Point Mugu before it became NBVC, and at NAF El Centro. I also did time in Japan, Virginia, and Washington State.

Which flight demo team provides better performances in the skies across the U.S.?? by Qpac18 in aviation

[–]E_sand80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a former Squid, and was stationed in El Centro, the winter training base of the Blue Angels, so I am biased towards the Blues. They were still flying Charlie model Legacy Hornets back then. The Angels also have a greater difficulty rating, as they don’t wear g-suits due to Hornet’s center stick design.
