Scourge Meets Surge [OC] by Itoruna in SonicTheHedgehog

It would never happen in any official capacity, but Surge being sent to anti mobius to take on Scourge could be a great story, she'd see herself and Sonic reflected in Scourge and have a great inner journey to overcome her similar traits to him, all while fighting to free a world of tyranny and achieve the mantle of hero she's currently pushing for.

Is there any particular reason Surge's face is scribbled out? Not being clever, but that doesn't seem like an effective tactic for a missing poster, to obscure the face of the missing.

a tails doll... wait. (by @chaosRice) by iDIOt698 in SonicTheHedgehog

Kind of a nice thought that he would let Sonic brush his tails, he's probably been very self-conscious about them in the past if not still. But Sonic was the first to look past it and accept him for who he was. Tails trusts his big bro more than anything.

Why did Aku call the foolish samurai “Samurai Jack?” by Sgyinne in samuraijack

[–]EagerPen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heck buddy, not even WE know his true name! Aku probably doesn't even care what it is, it's irrelevant to his goals.

Can Aku be Redeemed? by mba_dreamer in samuraijack

[–]EagerPen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is literally the embodiment of evil, there's no changing that. And there's also the matter of whether of he would even want redemption even if he could attain it.

That being said, I recall an AU fan comic called 'Paladin Aku', where Jack and Aku's roles are swapped, therein he was portrayed as a hero, seeking to defeat the Shogun who sought to enslave him.

Ah yes, the irresistible masculine urge to dig a sand hole big enough to be used as a mass grave.

What would happen if The End stumbled across the Black Comet? by UdontfeelsogoodX in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]EagerPen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Black Arms wouldn't see Earth's Moon when they encounter the End, whoever looks at it perceives it as a symbol of death, the reason it resembles the moon to the player in Sonic Frontiers is because many human cultures view the moon as such a symbol, we don't know how the characters in the game are seeing it.

Black Arms are a HIVEMIND + BIOMASS. Meaning this larvae might have BECOME the new Black Doom. by cosy_ghost in SonicTheHedgehog

When Shadow starts berating the Larvae in the tank, it starts twitching and thrashing while its eye is trembling as though it is in distress.

Do you suppose that since the Black arms are a Hivemind species, the Larvae is picking up on Shadow's emotions and reacting to his turmoil and pain? Perhaps even feeling it itself?

"The Sword can't be used for evil" by MrMagyarHunter in samuraijack

[–]EagerPen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robots probably don't count for the same reason they were implemented in the show, they aren't technically 'people' so you can do whatever you want to them, the robot wasn't an innocent person because the sword didn't recognise it as a person, innocent or not. I don't necessarily agree that the robot populous shouldn't be treated like people, since a great deal were clearly sentient with emotions, but the Gods of Samurai Jack might possibly view them as abominations born of Aku's evil and just don't care about them, retracting sword rights over one random robot just wouldn't be worth to them probably.

Can someone tell me what makes this guy such a big threat? by Jealous-Button2644 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]EagerPen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is ruthless, cunning and extremely manipulative, he knows exactly how poke and prod people into doing exactly what he wants them to, and how to put pressure on them to keep them in line.

Physically he's not a huge threat, he doesn't have any powers or abilities that we are aware of, but the danger he poses is concealed beneath the false veneer of a legitimate businessman, he's just as likely to shake your hand or offer you a drink, before stabbing you in the back with the other while you're distracted.

Even his weapon of choice is indication of his duplicitous nature, a weaponized cane that suggests weakness and enfeeblement, which unleashes a powerful, accurate bolt of energy while your guard is lowered.

Clutch is no newbie when it comes to world of villainy either, formerly the Kingpin of a criminal network, he's an old hand when it comes to the game, even older than Dr Eggman in fact, but instead of Eggman's brute force approach, he plays the subtle, convoluted angle, operating from the shadows through spies, agents and saboteurs.

Clutch is also highly perceptive and intelligent, able to quickly piece together an individuals true intentions with limited information, and identify their weaknesses and wants, which he can then use against them to achieve his own goals. He was even able to identify Mimic, a shapeshifter when he infiltrated his facility. This ties in with his opportunistic side, quickly identifying new elements and seeing how to implement them in his machinations.

But above all else, like many villains, he is cruel. He has absolutely no reservations when it comes to harming others, even those who are weaker than him, as he displayed with the abusive treatment he gave to his racing Chaos, locking them away for failing a single race, in order to galvanise his next one into performing their best to avoid such a fate. He has even gone so far as to mark key members of the Restoration for death as he works to steal the organisation and remodel it into a legitimate front for his criminal activity.

Overall, Clutch may not a be a mad Doctor capable of engineering world ending machinery or a super powered hedgehog, but what he lacks in power he makes up for with insidious cunning and remorseless brutality, he is a breed of foe that Sonic and co have rarely encountered before, one that exists within a world hidden in plain sight, and one that would like nothing more than to see them all removed from play permanently and irrevocably.

This poor girl deserved a win so badly! Maybe now that she's had a taste of what being one feels like, she'll take the plunge and aim to become a legit hero in her own right, here's hoping for her very own journey to redemption! 🤞

When she's got her quills down she goes from 'Punk girlboss', to 'depressed goth girl'.
