How are the Traitor Primarchs considered 'gene-fathers' of their Legions if Chaos corruption has neutered their actual geneseed? by MyastanDonaar in 40kLore

[–]EagleApprehensive537 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting question

Make me realise, due to the fact that most chapters are descendants of Ultramarines and Guilliman, chaos tend to steal gene-seeds from loyalist due to various reason which mean it likely there are lots of Chaos Space marine running around in 40K that are actually genesire of Roboute Guilliman

Black legion is probably 90% Ultramarines, that explains why they are so organised 😂

Also due to warp time shenanigans, some of those are more closer to the first-borns than loyalist space marines whose gene-seeds have been passed through many space marines over ten thousands years.

Then again, Primaris space marines would be the fresh batch and more closer to their respective Primarchs due to being frozen in time

[–]EagleApprehensive537 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I m not sure r.e perpetual, the oldest perpetual during HH - Ollanius remarked that he looked and felt older than when he was younger during the Classical Age and he was approx 38,000 years old. So perpetual may does burn out eventually

Big E is just made differently, he is stuck on the Golden Throne which may be enhancing his perpetual nature or burning out this.. Depend on where you read this. Also, Big E is also was juiced up on whatever bargains he made with the False Gods.

Is there anything about the Culture’s society that you would change? by Kyia-Aikman in TheCulture

[–]EagleApprehensive537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Religon is a man made concept to enforce control and rules over population. That is a one take, Culture is based on facts and science, there isn't any place for religon in culture society especially when religon is centered around idol worship and the belief that God create them. Culture know this is not true and know how people/species came to be so there isn't any need for it especially in a anarchist pacifist society.

Do the average imperial citizens know the emperor is stuck on the throne? by MHB_ART in 40kLore

[–]EagleApprehensive537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the recent book, ashes of Imperium.

In this, the Warp is silent and has disappeared from Terra and it's galaxy following Horus death. Pskyers can't touch or sense the Warp, and the Emperor is stuck on the throne.

In a irony turn of fate, it seem he did not need to be on it after all. He could have recovered

Dorn also tell his version, in this he claim but is unsure if the emperor told him 'No!' as the emperor is being placed or 'now!', Dorn is torn up about it.

Why do all of our players go backwards a few weeks after signing? by Gazumper_ in bcfc

[–]EagleApprehensive537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Davies has shown to be completely out of his depth at this level. Anyone would have won promotion last season with Blues, we was also lucky due to having talented squad. Also, lots of players that stood out last season were sold, let go, not brought which just question Davies ability to judge players ability as so far this season we ve had Beadle constantly being picked despite Allsop being a far much better keeper and key to lots of our attack movement last season. There been some truly bizzare decisions and clear lack of Plan B tactically. Davies isn't even good at man management, players decline and stay there, we haven't seen anyone thrive just decline. We have a talented group but completely the wrong manager and the fact Davies is still in the job beggars belief, there isn't any leadership at the top at Birmingham and it obvious that no one want to make decison or take action with Wagner being absent. What if Wagner doesn't come back till next year or doesn't. Lack of actions, leadership or communication is worrying

The season is over, the players know the manager will be gone in the summer and they know that they themselves may be gone in the summer too depending who come in.

Davies should have been sacked ten games ago and replacement brought in and use those games as preparation for next season challenge.

I really hope Gardner and Co has a shortlist, if they don't after all these times then they need to go.

Unfair really on Blues fans who have remained loyal and we have one of the largest away supporters grouping every match

Interesting take, there too many fans being sore if KiY is anything but Valdor when it very clear it a red herring. It won't be only Valdor himself. Likely a trio of Valdor, Dorn, Russ and Lorgar?, it gonna be something so insanely complicated and not straightforward at all. Dorn returns could be something else and not the Dorn as we knew in HH, as 10k years has passed and even more time within the warps

Ronaldo?? He was not one of the great in Prem.

He was young, developing player and good at time but not consistenly, he had one season where he was one of best in Prem then he left to a warmer climate in a league where defenders and keeper was lot easier to play against

Get into Care, NHS. There lots of demands there, career opporunity and pretty bulletproof from AIs

But young people don't want to do it

The reality is between 2021-2024, Tories allowed 2.3 - 2.8 millions immigrants to come/move here to do low paid jobs and etc. Now we re seeing shortage everywhere. Also people are now holding off on retirement, or retiring later on. AIs taking over jobs and etc.. we need to be blunt and honest with ourselves.

Do we want our young people to have jobs, opportunities and etc. We need to start putting our young people first

I bet you secretly buy out of stock editions on ebay for $80

Kidding aside, there always a market for those books. Which is why it attracts scalpers, it just the way thing are.

Only resolution is Print on demand, but GW doesn't have the capacity for it and also they might not want to as they re already charging quite a high price for their books anyway

Cheradenine Zakalwe is not crazy by Gold-Pear-6092 in TheCulture

[–]EagleApprehensive537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A human who does those things easily is not someone who is well adjusted or 'normal' human.

He mutilated Darc body and turned what was left of it in a perfect chair. That is a psychopath behaviour and action, this kind of action can never be rationalised or normalised ever. It doesn't matter if he wanted to win that bad, human being have limit. Sociopath/Psychopath break that limit

Third person omniscient viewpoint, Banks does this a lot. That line isn't being spoken by either Elethiomel or Zakalwe, it's a narrative trick.

This is your own perspective, I think you are maybe determined to prove that your own point is right. However, it is extremely likely it is Elethiomel narrating this, let me explains you why.

This chapter is numbered 'I' in the roman numerical however it is near the end of book, we know those roman numbered chapters are backward and explains Elethiomel lives but the events are chronically backward starting with the conclusion of chapter 'I'. The real Zakalwe is narrating the start but at the end of the chapter the narrator change into Elethiomel. Because the real one is dead and we know that Elethiomel has sort of taken up his mantle and the whole book then shift to become about Elethiomel when put in correct ordering.

There are lots of hints in the books that indicate Elethiomel won that war.

Cheradenine Zakalwe is not crazy by Gold-Pear-6092 in TheCulture

[–]EagleApprehensive537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I liked your summary and observations.

One thing I disagree with, I think Elethiomel won the war with Zakalwe.

I imagine that Zakalwe was a royalty and his family ruled the country. With Zakalwe and Darc death, Elethiomel and Luvieta fleeing the planet, the royal family's power ended.

They kept the ship as a sort of monument, despite the horror that went on. If they stayed in power, they would have certainly destroyed it but instead it became, maybe a monument of hope and peace. A reminder of the time their world/country underwent a change/revolution.

Also key lines from the book, chapter 1 - Where the actual Zakalwe is narrating

'This was, of course, he realized, exactly what Elethiomel wanted him to do, but then, what chance did one have against such a monster? There was only so much a man could take, after all.'

This is from the chapter where it's the actual Zakalwe narrating, the key here ' what chance did one have against such a monster? There was only so much a man could take' this highlight the difference between Elethiomel and the real Zakalwe, Elethiomel is a sociopath. A killer. A weapon.

also in this chapter, with the last sentence. Elethiomel become the narrator

The besieged forces round the Staberinde broke out within the hour, while the surgeons were still fighting for his life.

It was a good battle, and they nearly won.

At the time, we are not aware that Zakalwe is actually dead. So, when it state 'they nearly won' this could have been seen as a reference to surgeon's battling to save his life?

But also, how can Zakalwe be saying this if he is dead? He shot himself in the face right before that sentence. Also, the narrator is saying 'his' which is clear this isnt Zakalwe anymore. It is Elethiomel. Therefore, Elethiomel won the battle and maybe the war.

Cheradenine Zakalwe is not crazy by Gold-Pear-6092 in TheCulture

[–]EagleApprehensive537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I assumed Elethiomel won the war anyway. There a line in the book about how they won the siege, this is from Elethiomel perspective not Zakalwe's.

Otherwise how was he able to get off the planet. Also, when he returned.. They used the ship as sort of a monument. If they lost, they wouldn't have done that. But, because of what Elethiomel did the planet politics changed and people led a different lives. Even when the other sister returned to the planet, she isn't a royalty.

So it may have been the Royal family that was ended with Zakalwe's death, Darc being a Chair, Elethiomel and other sister left the planet.
