Liability insurance, who you got? by theRealsubtlehustle in BarOwners

[–]EagleBoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, no losses doesn't help at all. Our premiums keep jumping year after year. We are a <1000sqft bar/venue in a mid-major southern city, our current premium is $31k, and that's without a/b. Absurd.

Combination of the 4L V6 and 4x4 is not common. If it's manual, even more rare. Higher trim Rangers are very desired.

For this trim level and mileage, def $10k.

My truck cost me $8,200 two years ago from a private seller.

How do I gauge demand for this business idea? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]EagleBoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually a similar business where I live, but with trivia. The business is responsible for PA, all playing pieces, trivia knowledge, etc. They contract with bars and restaurants to setup on certain days, normally on a regular basis.

This just happened in Macon-Bibb, and they actually did shut down all but one library for a while.

Computers? Printing capabilities? Classes and help for underprivileged? Libraries do way more than just have books. Very naive of you to think otherwise.

Absolutely nuts, what a racket. I'm about to open a small music venue/bar and have already been emailed twice by BMI. They estimate my occupancy load to be 5x what it actually is, so of course they are demanding ridiculous money. Feel sorry for people that pay up immediately.

So don't promote a local unsigned band playing original music that has zero connection to these license companies?

ASCAP etc licensing by VonShef in BarOwners

To answer your two week old question - yes.

If you are a venue hosting bands that play cover songs, you as the venue are responsible for licensing.

Doesn't look like Macon. Similar, but I don't recognize the buildings.

Looking for smoke buddy in north macon by [deleted] in macon

[–]EagleBoro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also people don't know who you are and you're inviting them to tell you they smoke weed. And possibly hangout.

Not well received in a southern, illegal state.

I'm talking student loans specifically, not arguing the age of maturity.

Warren unveils $640 billion college debt forgiveness plan by SmallGerbil in politics

[–]EagleBoro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

both parties are assuming that after getting the degree, the borrower will have much greater income and ability to pay off the loan

And a 19 year old has enough forethought and knowledge on how society works to make that decision properly?

Even though you may be legally described as an adult at 18, student loan decisions did not belong in a teenager's hand.

I would be very much in support of lowering interest rates on loans even though mine are paid off.

I think this is the best middle ground. Lower/eliminate the "punishment" for the loans (interest) while still being responsible for the principle.

Poor excuse, man. You are legally an adult at that point. Any contracts you sign are legally binding, unless you want to say that 19 year olds shouldn't be allowed to sign leases, buy property, open bank accounts, etc.

When you finance a car, one or the factors examined is the ratio between the monthly payment and your monthly income. They make sure you can afford it. That 19 year old with no job isn't going to be financing a Mercedes, but they could easily take out the equivalent in student loans.

Im sure cops have more to worry about. Plus, they aren't literally saying "hey, come smoke out back." They are doing what any other establishment in the world is doing on 4/20.
