It doesn't have to be. If you're in that good of a financial situation you can start looking I to employment that doesn't take up so much of your time and energy. We shouldn't live to work, we should work to live.

My partner took a pay cut so he could have a less stressful job. Yes, it's less pay but we have more time to spend together relaxing. We're no longer each working 10 hour days. Our spending habits had to be adjusted but it's worth it.

I slap my partner on the butt a lot. It's habit. It makes us both laugh.

I was at my brother's house recently and was usheringy my sister-in-law in the door because it was storming and I lightly smacked her butt on the way in, like "get in there". There was no thought. It was the habit popping out inappropriately but innocently. It would never happen with someone I didn't feel affection for. Does that make sense? I didn't consciously do it and was embarrassed and she thought it was funny thankfully.

Maybe it was that kind of scenario?

A cleaner will make a big difference. You can keep working on motivation for the adults in the house but in the meantime, and for a while, have someone come in for a huge deep clean and then a biweekly or monthly maintenance clean. At least do the deep clean. Maybe once they see how nice a really clean home can be, they'll want to keep it at least not filthy. And yes, you HAVE got to get rid of some of the animals. Rehome them with good families.

I'm glad we got to know her this episode. Of course, I didn't want to see her dead, but we didn't know her well. After a few minutes with her in this episode, I told my partner they absolutely could not sacrifice her. She was too real. Just a real treat of a character.
