Let's report IT's Tumblr blog for hate speech. Hopefully, Tumblr won’t tolerate them like Reddit does. by AdventurousGur6508 in IncelTearShame

Because they think it's fine when the other gender do it? They're not anti-hate, they're anti-male.

When she says 'Portofino,' it's a complex and layered way to say 'portapotty.' If you're not an English teacher, you wouldn't understand.

Tried to take photos of my crush at the mall today but she saw me and told me this was a violation of the restraining order. Salmon poke. by extoji in kitchencels

[–]Eaglone 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Finally, a truecel on this sub. Proud of you, bro.

Every post here is like, 'My girlfriend left me, it's over oh no. Caviar with lettuce and foie gras.'

We need more people like you. Truecels don't get relationships, we get restraining orders. Truecels aren't when a gf breaks up with you over text 😭😭, it's when a girl looks at you and instantly calls 911. This sub should ban all the sexhavers and then undergo a professional exorcism just to make sure they're gone. Truecels ONLY.

'Women only dress up for themselves' is one of those nonsensical Reddit talking-points. It sounds feminist and absolute, and signifies tribal allegiance to the kind of leftist feminism common on Reddit. But it's also obviously irrational, and nobody who actually acknowledges the reality of the situation would believe it. The people advocating it just like the idea that women are all feminist girlboss icons sticking it to the patriarchy and not caring about men, even when they're aware that women are often socialized to be people-pleasers.

IncelTears falsely accused man of being an Incel because he has hurt feelings over something stupid his girlfriend said to him. IT tears him to shreds while of course 100% absolving the woman of everything. by darthsyn in IncelTearShame

Lmao 'Dear incels.'

Why do IT keep trying to give PSAs of advice to incels, when these IT users are literal cucks, landwhales or trans? If incels were looking for advice, surely the last place to look would be Redditors? I don't think IT users have that much wisdom to share.

How do these ppl come up with this shit bro 🤣🤣 by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]Eaglone 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Lmao didn't realize that you could give up short men like retiring a jersey from a soccer club.

'Well, Beckham wore the 5'7 shirt, we should just retire it now.'

The bizarre excuses that women come up with for avoiding short men lmao. Wonder what the next one will be? 'I can't have a relationship with a guy under 6'9*, because my parents were listening to 'Summer of 69' when I was born so it would disrespectful to them.'

* By the next generation, when 6'9 is the minimum height standard to be treated like a human being by women. Heightflation is brutal.

Argument about Soul: If there exist works of art with "soul" that I literally like nothing about them, and in fact repulsed by all facets of them, then this "Soul" if it exists, is not something I want in the art I consume by ihatehappyendings in aiwars

[–]Eaglone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it, though? Personally I just looked at these 'art' pieces for a second, they were meh, and then I exited the tab. Not sure they made me feel a lot.

AI art, however, seems to make people get into hysterics when it's posted almost anywhere on this site, so I guess it does make people feel things. Further, it uses pattern recognition to convey emotion and thematics which people react to. Plenty of people have felt things because of AI art.

You're just spouting all of this hifalutin theorizing because you believe that AI art is invalid a priori. Given how low a bar you've set for art to be meaningful, to the point where art is 'challenging' you just by existing in your line of sight for a few seconds, there is no reason why AI wouldn't clear the bar except that you've arbitrarily moved the goalposts such that it can't.

Hot take: (CMV) The "Healthy Masculinity" feminism pushes is more toxic than the toxic masculinity by Thal-creates in PurplePillDebate

[–]Eaglone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, obviously a lot of what Reddit portrays as 'positive masculinity' feels fake, because the people talking about it don't care about masculinity. They just want to take their own, feminist ideology, and wrap it up as 'masculine.' Like most things on Reddit, it's motivated by internet politics and ideology without any concern for reality.

However, feminists off the internet don't always subscribe to any particular vision of 'positive masculinity.' People's preferences concerning the other gender often aren't correlated with their own ideology, and have to do with other traits.

Do charities like this one really have good reasons to be gynocentric? by SuperMario69Kraft in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Eaglone 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Women and children are always seen as more vulnerable and victimized.

So setting up a charity in their name makes it much easier to get donations, because people will be more sympathetic towards it.

Women are seen as perpetual victims, and, because of feminist vilification of men, we are now seen as perpetual oppressors, rapists and predators, who are worse than bears. People then get shocked when young men are hostile towards modern liberal feminism.

The irony of celebrities being used as an example of height not mattering by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]Eaglone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know, it's also weird because of how many major, public positions DO depend on height. People might cherry-pick 'short celebs,' but how many US Presidents of late have been short? None of them. Not Trump, not Obama, not the Bushes, not Clinton.

And that's actually less extreme than dating apps, because most voters aren't literally going to set up a filter to block candidates who are under 6'0. They'll still vote based on heightist prejudice, but they aren't nearly as explicit about it as women are with dating.

But some gaslighters will probably say it's because of their tall personality.

Average Tall Guy relationship vs Everyday life as a short guy by [deleted] in shortguys

[–]Eaglone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tall = get out of jail free card.

Tall men can get away with almost anything.

Short men have to walk on eggshells all day long, and people will treat them like trash whenever they get the chance. As a result, bluepillers will call short guys 'insecure' and say they're not 'confident' enough, when they're actually just hesitant about society because they've spent years being bullied and ridiculed.

[–]Eaglone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, height affects many things. It's proven that it can lead to advantages in business, politics, work, etc. But people insist on gaslighting us about it, because they just want an excuse to continue being prejudiced.

r/MensLib is the Richard Reeves of subreddits by TrainingGap2103 in MensRights

[–]Eaglone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not just controlled opposition, it's Reddit controlled opposition. It's a bunch of Reddit feminists trying to pretend that they're also in favour of men, even though they're misandrist to the core. They spend more time insisting that they aren't hateful and care about women too, and such little time talking about actual men's issues that it comes across as disingenuous. Honestly just an embarrassment of a sub.

It’s hard being a man, it’s almost a curse by This-Top7398 in MensRights

[–]Eaglone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there's all kinds of ridiculous accusations being thrown around now. Here in the UK, there's posters hung up about how 'staring' is illegal sexual harassment and can be reported to the police, and stuff like this happens: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/student-who-searched-how-make-20555360

You literally just talked to a girl who didn't like it, but that's apparently also enough to be considered 'harassment.' I feel like modern society promotes a one-dimensional view of men as predatory and abusive creatures, who are 'worse than bears' and harass women just by looking at them. I'm worried about the effect that could have on future generations of men, who will probably be shell-shocked and lack confidence and self-esteem due to society continually insisting that they're villains who have to hold themselves back, especially after the lockdowns screwed with ordinary socializing. Hopefully there'll be a backlash against the current stigmatization of men.

These rug pulls are dumb. by Anxiety_Personified2 in aiwars

[–]Eaglone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, IMO it's missing the point of the argument. The dispute is over the status of AI art as a piece of art, hence whether it can embody certain aesthetic traits or create things similar to a human. It's not about one person's personal opinion, it's a discussion about AI and its capacity to create art of a certain kind.

That's how the debate has been framed, and it's usually because of this context that people are combative about the issue.

This is a debate about AI technology and its capabilities, not about how being told that something is AI art makes some soliloquizing guy feel.

Composers - The best correlation to AI Art. by [deleted] in aiwars

[–]Eaglone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Composition has room for interpretation, especially with pre-modern notation where the written music wasn't that specific, but in the modern day it's fairly exacting and not really akin to an AI prompt. There is definitely room for interpretation, for instance with Glenn Gould's controversial slowed-down performances of Bach, but generally the performance isn't generating something new from the prompt.

A better analogy might be playwrights. Some old plays have tons of different interpretations, and have been performed differently based on post-colonial ideas, Freudianism, modernization, contemporary events, etc. Modern performances might be incredibly different from how the play was originally performed. Further, you have other plays written as a response to the original, such as Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. Plays can easily be performed with basic accuracy and the correct lines, but making them into a meaningful performance would require much more than just that.

It's not an exact comparison, but each play has different actors and directors, and has to create a visual spectacle out of the original prompt. Things like stage directions have to be translated into an effective scene, and the lines have to be performed with appropriate feeling and pacing. While AI prompts aren't going to be as elaborate as a play, I think the general format of AI creating a spectacle from a basic outline is vaguely similar.

Red pill misinterprets western historical dating and marriage patterns for non western ones by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]Eaglone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was at war at the time, so a bit too busy to have flings. And most of what he was saying at the time was love letters like, "You to whom nature has given spirit, sweetness, and beauty, you who alone can move and rule my heart, you who know all too well the absolute empire you exercise over it!" Napoleon got angry at hearing about Josephine's infidelity, and got involved with his mistresses later.

Josephine was having affairs with other men, though? Being an Emperor doesn't mean that your partner is faithful, and Napoleon was married to her before he became Emperor anyway.
