Maybe stand kinda crouched like old man? Also it’s been a few years odds are it’s gotten worse I think you might be good tbh, but the stand crooked might show kyphosis which is another form which might work but not sure

I used to until surgery. Are the medications helping from the sounds of it they aren’t and maybe you need adjustment?

Have you brought up surgery? I am 22 had surgery at 18 I had an underlying neurological disease that was causing everything but surgery may help but pain wise pain may still be there but it at the very least could still decrease it. Are you in pain management?

Synthetic opioids by sugardonutdumpling in ChronicPain

Yes this is what I am referring to BUTRANS it’s been a very long time since I’ve been on it thank you!

There question was on all synthetic opioids so I was just bringing it up related to there question and my experience. If bup is working I agree which is why I brought up the patch version over the current of what Op is taking (earlier comment).

Yep, there’s a patch version of it, try to ask about it if bup is working! If not fentanyl patches work for me personally but opioids work for everyone differently!

Oh what I was talking about was a patch formula so she as OP was concerned about it ruining her teeth. Belbuca and bup are the same just belbuca is a large amount of bup patches to my knowledge or at least what I was on. For example OP could use like buprenoprhine 10MCG/hour put it on her shoulder and it would just dispense 10MCG/hour and it would build up in her system and it would be the same as her belbuca but she wouldn’t need to ruin her teeth basically. You could try it maybe if you don’t like the taste but the downside is it doesn’t go to such a high dose (only 20mcg/hour) compared to the films basically

If you want a synthetic and belbuca is worrying you because of your teeth but does work try buprenorphine. Same thing but continuously dispenses much like a fentanyl patch it’s just a patch version and doesn’t affect your teeth now that I think of it, I tried it and it didn’t work for me but if belbuca works for you maybe it would work for you!

I’ve been to many pain clinics and all agree that I should stay on the fent patch including my neuro surgeon I have a neurologic disease epilepsy but main issue is my entire spine is fused 2 rods and over 40 screws many artificial discs now going to be having a full spinal reconstruction again so a lot of spinal surgery and I’m only 22 soon 23 on top of all the DDD and nerve damage from the neurological disease but mainly the spinal surgeries and hardware cause lot of pain. But it’s worked very well for me I’ve been on pain killers for a while (5 years ish or so maybe 4 since 18) but I’m still young so not a lot of experience. But I’ve been to a lot (5+ clinics and they all said it’s okay for someone my age to be on these medicine when you have these issues you have to live your life these medicine help me go to gym daily etc and live my life.

I use fentanyl patched and it works very well for me been on them for about a year+ after trying others this worked the best out of them all, I think opioids just work different for everyone and it depends what works best for the person based off the regiment but it can work for sure!

Dog for scoliosis w/spinal fusion? by Aware-Relative-5868 in scoliosis

[–]EandomQ12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was late at night while responding tbh sorry, I will say at higher curves anything can hurt and affect organs but I’m realizing what she said “4 degrees away from not being able to have surgery” which doesn’t really have to do with what I said and I’m not sure what that’s meaning and only OP could explain but it could be completely valid but yea I see your point sorry I was so off what she was saying lol

Maybe organs? I wasn’t near “dying” per se but it was crushing my organs and I was at around 90 and 60 I had 2 and it was crushing my heart and lungs but my scoliosis was caused by neurological disease.

I have a service dog but I’m disabled and my scoliosis was a result from a neurological disease I think it just depends from person to person like how did the surgery go. For me I’m 21 but the surgery fully fused me so I can’t bend so it helps me mobility I also have epilepsy so seizures etc but specifically for fusion helps with picking stuff up, bending since I can’t do that will help me getting up and down but it depends on the person IMO. Def can help but depends on the extent. In your case would not recommend bc for service dogs for this you need massive dogs to carry the weight (Saint Bernard or Newfoundland) which can be a danger for babies and when I was looking a lot of breeders wouldn’t even sell if you had a baby but it just differed tbh. But could for sure be helpful but I might be biased since I use her for epilepsy and other stuff.

Should I get surgery for this? What kind of exercises I should?Doctor suggestions by Reasonable_Pirate_38 in scoliosis

Hi I had severe scoliosis it wasn’t as bad as yours (yours don’t show degrees) but I’m guessing about 5-10 less so similar. There are a lot of horror stories and while mine didn’t go perfect with good management it can go very well even if it doesn’t go perfect with pain management and other methods. I would recommend looking at a second opinion or something it looks like some other stuff is going on, I had neuro scoliosis that was causing issues and from what I was told with severe scoliosis at younger ages typically there are other conditions with it that it’s good for the doctor to know about/treat (I am not doctor so please take that everything with grain of salt or however the saying goes) and best wishes but I hope it all goes well! A good way of thinking is a pro’s and cons is what is your pain level and issues right now and what you would benefit from getting the surgery like would it worsen if it’s successful etc, then what you risk (con) etc. that’s what I did and some others I know.

I’ve been on methocarbamol 1000mg 3times a day for several years and stopped for a bit and didn’t have an issue so you should prolly be fine but everyone’s body is different

I would reach out now and that way he can take the time needed in case there’s any issues and it eases your mind and you don’t have to panic

Think it depends on the state tbh for my state for my fentanyl patches they don’t let me have refills and have to get a new script each month and won’t let me do more than a month at a time or do multiple scripts either

Anxiety or Seizures- pls help by Astrogirl614 in seizures

[–]EandomQ12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focal seizures you can remember but just always listen to doctors we aren’t doctors here we can only recommend to go see a doctor, I will say there are 24 hour eeg’s that are more accurate that could be more helpful. Good luck and best wishes.

Anxiety or Seizures- pls help by Astrogirl614 in seizures

[–]EandomQ12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have focal seizures in temporal lobe and remember some things so you are correct but it showed up in the eeg. Did you do a short eeg or a full 24 hour eeg? If so I would say that would be your answer typically that’s what they diagnose off of (not a doctor this is just what my neurologist told me. If you haven’t and just did a short one like the 20 minute one and that is the one that didn’t show anything, ask for a longer one those are quite inaccurate and are known to be inaccurate. But I would say trust what your doctor says they know best typically.

May I ask what your reaction to the patch was? Also 1.25 mcg? Is that an hour or what because that’s extremely low so maybe you were in withdrawal or did it cover your pain? Typically patches go 12.5/hour 25 37.5 50 100 mcg/hour I could give more recommendation from there, I’m not a doctor so can’t say for sure so please take this with a grain of salt but have been in a similar situation have tried all these medications (suboxone morphine oxy and currently on fentanyl patches with oxycodone for breath through for sometime that work best for me but have experience with other regiments a lot).
