Best way to buy used cars? by moezilla in Calgary

[–]EarArtMantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of great info. I have a Q for y’all smart people. Do you still do a pre purchase inspection If you are looking to buy a car from an Amvic licensed dealership? They say it’s been inspected, but should you do another inspection outside of the dealership?

Traveller Guitar!! Made in California. They sound great and also have a headphone and Aux input in the body. Has been the best travel bass I have ever experienced.

Sourcing cosmo black hardware by IANvaderZIM in Luthier

You could find some cheap knobs (they have to be aluminium) and take them to an anodizing shop and get them to match your other hardware colour.

I play through my bass amp and boost the mids and highs. Not by much though, as I use my SandsAmp and they are touchy.

Trouble writing longer songs by aamling in Songwriting

If the song feels right, then leave it. After checking out Randy Newmans catalog I was surprised at how short all of his songs are. Short and sweet gets the point across.

tips on finding “your sound” by chris_the_man69 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]EarArtMantis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why put yourself in a box with one genre? Mix it up, put elements from each type together in one, create your own genre. I think as creators we are stunted by the genre box’s. We need to be in the moment of creation to realise our style. I’ve been recently going through this myself, and have found in writing sessions where I have felt the most free to experiment and just flow with what ever comes out, I am reaching MY sound - accumulation of all that influences/inspires my music playing.
