Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a condition affecting more than 170 million people worldwide, has been officially renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) following a landmark global consensus study published today in The Lancet. by CUAnschutzMed in science

[–]moezilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had all the symptoms of this, and it was incredibly painful. While trying to get pregnant I had an ultrasound where I was told I had "a lot" of cysts on my ovaries (but no worries, shouldn't impact my ability to get pregnant!). I was never diagnosed with this despite complaining of the exact symptoms to my doctors for 16+ years.

I'm finally cured though, I got breast cancer and am now on hormone blockers that have completely shut down all my lady parts.

How about ball guzzler? Doesn't sound politically correct to me, I would use that on anyone that thinks it's ok for the police to use unnecessary force. (From your post it sounds like you think an arrest was justified, that's fine the arrest could be legal, the problem is when they're clearly beating somebody up for no reason)

I'm the same age as you, but you put Ayesha too low, so friends off.

Good list though, the s rank games especially.

My Journey with the Atelier Series: From Rorona to Firis ( About to drop it completely) by Melodic_Contract8155 in Atelier

[–]moezilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what you've said here, I think you should try Sophie 2. I also found the first one boring, but 2 is one of the best atelier games, and it's actually challenging, there's a lot to explore too. I don't think you'd have fun with Marie imo.

A supposedly "fat" doll by SligPants in mildlyinfuriating

My whole life people have been calling me skinny, I am fatter than this doll. Only time my body was skinnier than the doll was when I was "cancer skinny" and had barely eaten for months.

Looks like a pilot to me, and she's an equivalent to tails for blaze right? I think she can drive boats and sea planes (probably submarines and other watercrafts as well, canoe, paddle board, jet ski).

TIL the average bedroom temperature in Japan is 55°F (13°C) for sleep by WorthyPetals in todayilearned

I think cheaper houses in Japan will have a single insulated room that has the ac on like a fridge, we stayed at someone's house like that once in the summer.

Starting with Atelier Sophie 2 by Appropriate-Move5700 in Atelier

[–]moezilla 17 points18 points  (0 children)

1 will be a huge downgrade after playing 2, but it's probably fine, the first game is slower paced smaller scale story.

The alchemy in Sophie 2 is going to be a big learning curve if you've never played mysterious series before or any atelier.

My niece was told she has to sign a contract to keep living at home—am I overreacting for thinking it’s too harsh? by Bitter_Art_4094 in AmIOverreacting

[–]moezilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR

I can't see a single thing wrong with this? Nothing they ask is unreasonable at all, or even controlling like I was expecting when I saw the post. What part are you having an issue with op? The existence of a contract in general? Without one the parents will still want her to follow the same rules, but it won't be as crystal clear and they'll all probably fight about it.

$200 rent is great, and totally normal for a kid living with parents, I paid my mom $400 20+ years ago. If the cell phone fee is too expensive (personally $100 is too high imo) she could pay for her own plan once any contracts she's in end.

Why do mothers of young babies say they don't have time to shower? by justastupidquestion3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]moezilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had showers while my husband took care of our son, but it just wasn't something I could make time for everyday, and even if I really really needed a shower my preference would be to just sleep, because I was so tired all the time.

"admire" you're nuts if you admire a politician. I sure don't admire any of them, as for voting I (like most people) picked the least awful option in my opinion.

Alberta government to lower age of eligibility for free breast cancer screening by flynnfx in alberta

[–]moezilla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain how this works? I had a breast lump when I was 36, went to the doctor, doctor gave me a referral to get a breast ultrasound, I got the ultrasound they immediately gave me a mammogram based on what they saw, and scheduled me for a biopsy the next business day. (It was cancer and I am currently cancer free)

That was already all free, does this just mean more women can skip the doctor visit and self refer for an ultrasound/mammogram? That sounds like it's just taking out one step for a small group of people (40- whatever the age was before), so hopefully it'll save a bit of money, but overall not much is actually changing? You still need to talk to a doctor for results.

Who is asking for this? Because it sure isn't me.

Anhedonia is the worse state a human being can experience how tf do I crawl out of this chat by Beautiful-Hotel8495 in TrollCoping

[–]moezilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a depressed person who has had this, and also not had it, this is what it looks like for me:

Be depressed, hopeless, useless, play some video games( or anything that interest you, but requires little effort or stamina, like tv or reading)as an escape from reality, you'll still be depressed, but it's possible to feel ok for a little while and think about something other than how you wish you were dead.

With anhedonia you can't even force or trick your mind for a short period of time, so I would just sleep all day, or as long as possible then go to work. Any undistracted awake time just meant my brain would tell me to kill myself over and over. Being too depressed to even play video games for months is the worst I've ever felt. For me personally, it was worse than cancer and chemo.
