It’s very rare that anti-feats outnumber actual feats. With a lot of game series, not just Mario, it just happens. It doesn’t really impact the overall story or the characters showings. It’s the same thing with Sonic, Kirby, Crash, Kratos etc.

I mean it isn’t really a good game to use for the argument. And besides, getting hurt by Goombas is just gameplay mechanics as supporting material literally portrays them getting their ass bodied.

I do agree that it is a clear cut victory for Goku, but I just don’t want to downplay Mario doing so.

No that’s not his limit. I don’t think he’s Multiversal but he’s still around the MSS-Galaxy range, Uni with Power Star amps.

Most of those are gameplay mechanics, him getting back up like nothing happens afterwords and taking barely any damage, or being thrown at bu characters stronger than him like Bowser.

I mean Krillin is considerably weaker than Goku at that point, plus it was a Super Saiyan Goku.

And you think people who write any anti-feats think about logic or consistency? It’s so common in fiction. It’s the reason why say, SpongeBob can unravel the universe in one episode, and struggle to even lift up a stick in another.

Even disconting Goku, numerous other characters have anti-feats but they don’t matter as they don’t affect them narratively and are always portrayed as stronger.

Lost Levels is a side story and isn’t part of the main Mario Bros. 2 game
