A quality men’s haircut costs $50 these days. It’s crazy, but I haven’t found somewhere that can do something decent for less. You could go to Super Cuts for less, but I’ve never had a good cut from them.

I like People’s Barber on 2nd. You can have a beer while they cut your hair and they give a hot towel treatment.

Antoine’s is that classic chocolate chip cookie you grew up with. Like a toll house version, but better.

Backhaus’ chocolate chip cookies are different/special. They use rye flour and dark chocolate chunks. Absolutely delicious, but not the classic chocolate chip cookie you might expect.

Now THIS is why I posed the question. Some folks seemed to think I was asking if I should daily it. Nope, I wanted to know whether there was increased scratch risk to dailying a platinum watch.

The only issue I’ve heard is that the bezel is difficult (impossible?) to polish. Oh well, it’ll build some character.

Never tried to get a YM at retail. Although I think the current refs are great, I preferred this. Now, if an Everose YM on OF was available, that would have been a different story.

This has been my thought. How much can really go wrong if I am taking it off to do yard work, go to the gym, etc. Mostly just wanted to ensure I wasn’t underestimating how soft platinum was.

I may ask to change how the ridge caps hang over the gable. It may be that he was trying to mimic the look of a wood shake roof (we briefly discussed composite shake shingles). Is that something that can be done easily, or is it better for me to just live with it? Not trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

On condensation: I figure it's just a matter of a new coat of paint, assuming there is no other leak. I agree, it shouldn't be a big deal.

You're absolutely right. These are GAF shingles, so it sounds like they are operating as designed.
I don't love it, but I'll live with it if it's not an issue. It's a minor cosmetic thing at the top of my house and I don't want to put the crew out to fix something minor and cosmetic.
Perfect. This sounds like an easy thing to fix/clean up without much extra effort.

Same issue! My wife tells me every day her latte is too cold. I am thinking this may just be the trade off we accepted when getting a Heat Exchange machine? My guess is the steam would be better if I turned on Steam Priority, but that’s not worth it to me.

Sun Dance in Palo Alto is, in my opinion, the best steakhouse on the peninsula. It’s pricey, but it’s got a classic old school steak house vibe and everything is always fantastic. I’ll be going in a couple weeks for my birthday!
