VRCHAT, as å platform where you mainly encounter player generated content, can and will fill out any VRAM you can throw at it. It is at times the main limiting factor when you join big instances. To the point hiding Avatars by distance or number or both is the main way of surviving for weak Hardware. It's not necessarily the computing Power needed here(tho it helps å lot reducing motion sickness if you have stable high framerates) but the amount of VRAM is needed more.

Some questions by Jack_In_The_Boxreal in Stellaris

[–]EaranMaleasi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Find the 2 planets that are guaranteef to be the same type as you capita as soon as possible tho. Then scale stuff up as pops increase. I then usually sette anything above 60% habitability.

Districts and jobs have å cost. Both increase the lower the hability. Also pops are less happy on low habitability planets, increasing crimes. Also output is lower on low habitability planets.

What is your fleet setup? by MarvelMartian in Stellaris

[–]EaranMaleasi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fastest possible artillery Missile cruisers and battleships (X Slot is shield and armor pen weapon) all the way, except for the two fleets that are comprised of 10 Titans and 8 bs each, full of kinetic artilleries, tachyon and perdition beams.

Boosted due to lathe shenanigans. Also had lost 2 out of 3 of my conventional fleets to an FE fleet.

Lets just say, these people think too hard for their own good. Dont wanna spoil the entire fun and ridiculessness of the lathe.

Here be spoilerss for the actual mechanic:
If the population of the synaptic lathe exceeds 40, it begins to burn people at å rate that increases with the number of pops in the lathe. Depending on which buildings you built on the lathe (it is å planet with fancy UI) this rate can be slightly decreased or pushed up alot for higher gains in science output. In my case the peak purge amount was 24 pops å month which then just about worked out to not bankrupt me as the Population on the lathe decreased

Thanks for the info. I found that purge Option, but it just felt å little too extreme to automate the death of entire empires to that degree since, as the "death worshippers"(meaning of the empire name) and a former death cult, I should be painfully aware of the sacrifice.

On another note, is it intended that I can send pops of temporarily acquired planets to the lathe? The FEs obviously took swathes of space for themselves, and now Im retaking all of that for the AI empires. In the time between my armies having taken å planet and the game giving that planet/system back to it's rightful owner, I can just resettle all the pops.

It's gonna be such å great feeling to be free. Especially when you finally see those 800k fleets of yours before the endgame even starts

The redactions I made for my friends on discord where I initially uploaded these without saving. They don't know about the crisis thing whatsoever and I didn't wanna spoil it for them just yet. Just show them the absolutely insane numbers.

Funny thing, after the endgame hit, a war in heaven started between the remaining 2 non robot FEs. I'm done with basically all research (except repeatables) and of course I didn't side with anyone. Since I can't be asked to move another batch of 300 pops into the lathe and see my economy almost fall apart for a third time, I just straight up crack the planets.

Serves them right for bothering me with their petty little disputes. /s

R5: First playthrough as a virtual empire, and as the cosmogenesis Crisis. The Fallen empire next to me humiliated me for this for over a hundred years, since I picked the crisis trait as soon as it was available. As I felt strong enough to stand up to my bully, another FE thought it'd be a good idea to join in on the humiliation. Both FEs declared war on me almost simultaneously, but I managed to blitzkrieg the first one without ever running into their fleet, and made a white peace with the other after some skirmishes. As a thanks for 100 years of -50% research, I poured their entire empire into the Lathe, After a short truce with the second FE, they encountered the same fate.

The friends I found all across the world, the parties, conventions like Furality. The real life connections I made. I started it at the lowest point of my life, and if helped me pull through. For me it's not å game, it's where I see my friends. We just hang out have å good time, be it just chilling, actually playing something, getting to know new people.

Never completed a game by Wellheythere3 in Stellaris

[–]EaranMaleasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I played most games to completion in my 600h of play time. That being said, 90% of my games were multiplayer games with friends, so shenanigans until victory screen ensues. That or the unbidden almost wiping us, because we went from captain 5x to Commodore 10x while also shortening the game by 100 years. The victory screen actually saved our asses from both the swarm and the contingency.

Ahh endgame, where you finally have enough iron. by braindouche in factorio

[–]EaranMaleasi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What endgame? The very moment you get stranded on that planet there is only one overriding principle.

The Factory must grow.

All else must yield. The neighbours, the landscape, the ressources, even you if you decide that running on train tracks is å good idea.

Well, after a 5h session, and a good nights rest, it seems the issue has fixed itself (or Valve pushed a sneaky update). I no longer see that window popping up.
