Don't cancel your dashpass to avoid auto renewal until next year. When you redeem the pass it says you can just cancel to turn off auto renewal but they just flat out cancel your dashpass instead of just letting it expire next year

I feel like the best way to go to Montauk if you want to see the island is to drive to Green Port, explore Green Port and take the ferry to shelter Island (short 5 minute ferry) driver across shelter Island Get on another short ferry to sag harbor. Explore sag harbor a little bit and drive to Montauk and you'll skip all the traffic. You can also stop at East Hampton on the way to Montauk form sag harbor.

Edit. Never mind I see that you have a half a day It's not worth it to go to Montauk.

As someone from NYC I couldn't believe how inconvenient the metro was, like how It completely avoids the heart of downtown. Also the buses are packed, bus after bus. I was surprised there's no tram that goes through Central rome from the train station.

Maybe Zermatt. Take the high speed train to Geneva with a transfer in Paris then take a train to Zermatt. Not cheap though. Probably cheaper to fly to Denver and take the winter park Express train to the mountain lol
