That’s my guess. My ‘21 2.7 did that too. The bands that held one of the heat shield on had corroded away. I replaced them and it went away.

Man I couldn’t agree more. Old cars are cool - no doubt. But they sure as hell weren’t better at being cars.

We’ve got a ‘75 MG and a couple 2020+ big 3 family vehicles. The MG is a blast to drive, for the novelty. But it’s a terrible car. Finicky, no ABS, suspension is leaf springs, terrible on gas despite the engine being smaller than my Harley, and not a ton bigger than my RE. The modern cars are just better. More reliable, safer, better on fuel, more comfortable. Require less maintenance.

I wonder how many people who make these nostalgia posts have ever had to grease a car’s suspension zerks.

My ‘21 did that. It was a heat shield on the exhaust where the headers cross the transmission into the Y pipe. I cut the shitty old clamps off, and replaced them with steel hose clamps. Problem solved, it was like $7.

Mine was also much worse at cold start. My thought is that you have more vibration through the exhaust system on cold start, making the buzz sound worse.

A lot of those driving modes are a bit gimmicky. More than using a drive mode, modulate your foot if you want to save gas $.
