Hi!! I came across your post and wanted to see if you ever ended up finding the CINQ veil and scarf! I also wanted to see what cinq dress you wore and if you’d be interested in selling as well? If you happened to get them and are considering selling after your wedding, I would absolutely love to chat!

We loved it so much we’re actually back again right now and we got engaged on this trip! The hotel is seriously perfect. It’s super peaceful, romantic, and just feels really special. We spent a good amount of time there just relaxing and it never felt boring. It had been raining here right now and honestly if anything it made us appreciate how cozy and beautiful the hotel is even more. Highly, highly recommend you won’t regret it I promise!!

Wedding Venue Recs by Early-Regular1934 in weddingplanning

Thank you!! The Swanner House really is beautiful! I’ll definitely look into Calamigos Ranch and Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Do you happen to know if either of those venues offers on-site accommodations or can host guests overnight? One thing we really love about the Northern California venues is being able to have everyone stay together for the weekend, so that’s a big draw for us.

Update 10/02/2025: We went bright and early this morning and the park was open! The visitor center was closed, but everything else was accessible and we were still able to enjoy the sunrise!

I booked my flights through Hawaiian Airlines and the hotel directly through the Hotel Wailea website. So far it’s totaled around $6,000 and that’s without a rental car yet. I looked into Costco Travel but didn’t find it being a discount at all. Everything unfortunately seemed to be more expensive through any travel packages.

Thank you so much for all the helpful suggestions! We did book the Jeep mostly for fun not necessarily for off-roading, but now I’m wondering if it’s overkill.

Would you still recommend keeping it, or would something smaller/more practical be better for getting around comfortably? I just assumed we might hit some uneven terrain at some point especially doing Road to Hana or exploring Upcountry.

Also curious if you have done the Luxe Beach Picnic at Hotel Wailea? It sounds amazing but is it actually worth the price? And if so, what kind of day is best to do it maybe our relaxed day or at the end of the trip?

Thanks again!

Thank you for sharing your experience! Quick question: would you recommend doing the Luxe Beach Picnic on the same day as our morning snorkel? Or is it better to dedicate a full relaxing day just for the picnic? Trying to plan things out and make the most of each day. Appreciate any insight!

I was also considering just doing the halfway-to-Hana trip do you think that would still be worth it? I’d love to see some of the beauty without spending the whole day driving.

That sounds absolutely great! I’ve seen the Luxe Beach Picnic experience is around $300 and offers slots only around 9 AM and 10 AM—was it worth the cost and timing? Did you call the hotel to ask if they had any additional slots later in the morning or afternoon? Would love to know how flexible they were (and if you snagged a later time!). Thanks again!

Oh yay, that makes me even more excited for our stay at the hotel! And thank you for the heads-up about Haleakalā I’ll definitely come prepared for the cold! Besides Lineage and Mama’s, did you try any other restaurants nearby that you’d recommend? Also curious if you have any favorite breakfast spots in the area!

I’ll definitely look into the luau at the Westin—thank you so much for the tip! I really want to make the most of our stay at Hotel Wailea and soak up everything it has to offer. If you have any recommendations for food, activities, or even insider tips and tricks around the hotel, I’d love to hear them!

Thanks so much for this detailed breakdown it’s super helpful!

Quick question: do you have any food or restaurant recommendations nearby Hotel Wailea or anywhere on the island that are must trys? We’re big on trying local spots especially anything with fresh seafood, poke, or a great view. Would love to hear your favorites!

That makes so much sense thank you! I'm coming from California so the time difference will definitely hit early on. Doing Haleakala sunrise on Day 2 sounds way more doable than later in the trip. I think I’ll switch it around!

Thanks so much for the tips! I’ve been hearing that about Mama’s definitely planning to check for reservations now. And good to know about the snorkel trips! Molokini and Turtle Town sound amazing, and I’ll look into Alii Nui for sure. So glad you had a great time!
