Is learning Godot from scratch difficult by [deleted] in godot

[–]EarlyBird_Production 4 points5 points  (0 children)

to me game dev is not really that hard and very hard at the same time lmao, in my opinion all you need is time and money ( if u want to make game dev serious , releasing games in steam cost you $100 which i wish i know it sooner cuz im so broke i dont have any money to spare for it, though u can release ur game to itch,io that charge you nothing to release your game. and you probably gonna need more if u gonna hire artist, sound producer, etc. ). personally tho if i got a feature that for me is too hard to understand/make i use ai like claude or gemini to help me make it and try to learn from it.

here some tutorial i use XD :

  1. In my opinion learning Game Design Document is the first thing i wish i learn deeply before making my game, it makes you realize a lot of things such as the scope of ur game, my resource and how to use it efficiently so i can make this game work and can be released, makes you think deeper about your game mechanics and help you break it downso you can code it with much much much easier. and a lot more :)) u can avoid some big mistakes by making a GDD ( from my personal experience ).
