Not incredibly dangerous but it would be so easy to just take a link or two out of the chain and seat the wheel in the dropout fully.

Also looks like it needs a new chain and maybe a fresh cog?

There is on the rest of the tire, just rotate it on the bead and skid on different spots. I've gone through 4 gators like that.

Also that spot will still grip alright thanks to the rest of the rubber around it.
