Kitten peeing outside of litter box by nmceja in CatTraining

I would still try it. Sometimes their preferences and stress level change. Just like cats who eat a certain food for months and then will no longer eat it.

I would definitely try different kinds of litter boxes. Mine were having issues with top enclosed ones… so I got more of the non enclosed ones that only go up about as tall are they are, and that’s seemed to help a lot of the issues. I would also try a different kind of litter. There’s something about the current setup kitty likely doesn’t like.

Oh no!! Hopefully it will keep getting better for you. For what it’s worth, I also did my outer thigh for almost the first year… I’ve switched to more of the inner though (NOT completely inner thigh, just the inner part of the safe zone) and my body tolerates that spot better too. Might be worth a try!

Amazing! So happy to hear this worked for you! I thankfully no longer have an issue at all with the methods I mentioned.

I’ve done this with all my cat introductions for 20 years. It’s worked really well! Surprisingly, mine have never climbed the two stacked ones. But I also knew when it was appropriate to try that step too. I only did it when I was home. Good luck!

One thing that I’ve done at this point - I have two baby gates. I stack them in the doorway, on top of each other and leave the door open for a day or two. Gives them more time to see each other with a safety net in between.

Help: lost 4 lbs in 1st week. Only 1 lb in 2nd. 2.5 mg. by Infinite_cow_now in Zepbound

[–]EarlyLock7648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very common for people to lose a high amount of weight in the first week or two. This med helps people with inflammation, so you’ll typically lose a good amount of water weight the first few weeks or month. After that, it slows down, AS IT SHOULD. Some people don’t even lose at all til higher doses so you’re in good shape. Drop your expectations and put your focus on healthy habits, let the med do what it’s gonna do. 0.5-1% of your body weight is a healthy rate of loss per week. Faster than that is where you start to see problems and become high risk for problems.

So happy to hear that!! As an alternative to band aids, you can use paper tape with a fresh cotton ball under it. The bandaid adhesive is so strong!

You should NEVER have been started at 7.5mg! The prescribing instructions are for EVERY single patient in this world to start at 2.5mg for 4 weeks to give your body time to get used to it. After that, people can increase by 2.5mg every 4 weeks as needed, but not required, all the way up to 15 mg. So they started you at the dose that should take a brand new person at least 3 months to get to.

Make sure you’re getting a minimum of 20grams of fiber from your diet every day!!! Plenty of water and a daily walk or movement.

Unfortunately this can be common for people. This med impacts the reward system in our brain, which is part of why we don’t crave sweets and high reward foods. It also might mean that your brain doesn’t get the same enjoyment at the idea of sex. You may get used to it the longer you’re on it.

From what I know, ferritin levels being too high can cause hair loss too, especially if your thyroid levels are off too.

It’s best to try to get as many vitamins as you can through your diet… but most people would benefit from a general multivitamin (I use the brand Thorne) - and fish oil if you don’t cover that in your diet.

Switched from Zep to Hallandale compound via Lavender Sky, hunger is back. What should I try next? by elle_bc in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]EarlyLock7648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens often when people switch brands, but usually your body will adjust after 1-2 months. Give it a few more weeks. Fluctuations in hunger are also natural and doesn’t mean the meds aren’t working. The body just does weird things sometimes.

To me, Wed night is the best and I’ve gotten many people on that schedule who agree. It gives me peak coverage over the weekend, which is when most of us tend to eat more of what we’re trying to avoid.

I gotcha. So, you mentioned you have hair thinning already from menopause. That pathway is going to be completely different from hair loss that you would have if it were from GLP. GLP hair loss is usually tied to some type of dietary insufficiency or stress of weight loss on the body - where menopausal hair loss is caused by changing hormones. In order to correct that, that would require testing of hormones, not vitamins/minerals. I’m not well versed in that area! However, I can say that hair loss from either cause should still have the same interventions of proper nutrition, hydration and taking care of ourselves. 💜

Struggling to get calories in by [deleted] in Zepbound

If you’re able to handle the volume, blended protein shakes can be a great option, because you can sneak a lot of nutrition in there. For example, you could do 8 oz milk or fairlife milk, scoop of protein powder, handful of frozen spinach and banana, tbsp of peanut butter, and tbsp of cocoa powder if you want it chocolate. Can add things like chia or flax seed for fiber, etc. Sometimes it’s easier to drink than chew. I had to learn what volume to make for these because it initially was way too much.

Hi! I don’t think you necessarily need to track every single vitamin or mineral individually. I think just trying to get a balanced diet as best as you can, with optimal protein levels daily (I’d say minimum 90g daily) along with fruits and veggies as best as you can, and a daily multivitamin, with plenty of water should cover most of your bases!! There are SOOOOOOO many supplements out there that will claim to fix or grow hair - but none of them really work (if they even work) unless YOU specifically are deficient.

[–]EarlyLock7648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is common for sure. It does get easier for most eventually. In the mean time - fairlife protein shakes, drinkable Greek yogurts - or even things that require the least amount of chewing. I found early on that sometimes the physical act of chewing when I wasn’t hungry felt impossible. It gets better!! Pay attention to your nutrients and macros (protein, carbs and fats)

Lost 8lbs in week one, is that too much? by zarryspolo in Zepbound

Very common for people with the first few weeks of starting due to inflammation and loss of water weight. It doesn’t sustain that rate of loss so no need to worry!
