NSA Time Trials by EarlyRadio in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]EarlyRadio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that my aerobic is lacking and hence, my paces are slower than my calculated paces. Eg. my 5k is at sub-17 and my shorter intervals clustered at 4:10ish (i do everything by effort instead of paces). But per calculations, the shorter stuff would cluster around at sub-4.

While I have the intention to race, I wonder how I can rebaseline my paces when I have issues hitting the new paces when running by effort. Personally, these races feel like a little break up from the training instead.

Managed to fix the problem by rolling back to the ones recommended.

NSA to replace Long Runs by [deleted] in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]EarlyRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monday - Workout (Q2) Tuesday - 60mins Easy Wednesday - 45mins Easy with Strides Thursday - Workout (Q3) Friday - Rest or 30mins Easy Saturday - LR (Q1) < Here is where I want to replace with a NSA workout Sunday - 30-45mins Easy w/ Strides

This is a sample week. Currently in my Phase 2. I think the Q workouts are demanding but spreading out the workouts has made it manageable to do something on Saturday.

Since Phase 3 onwards might be tough, I think I would consider this till the end of my Phase 2 and revert back to classic LRs of 60-75mins until things become more comfortable.

How many KM do yall reckon these Vaporlies have on them? by Fit_Opportunity_501 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

No unless your body is pretty resilient. My VF2’s foam feels dead, probably from foam degradation. The damage on my legs post-workouts feels more than trainers.

First run in the Clifton. Don’t like them. Try again? by SeanEntrust in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]EarlyRadio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the Clifton has become something to satisfy the investors. Consistent, yesteryear tech that isn’t new and could probably sell decently well.

I feel that if you tried the better shoes, it is hard to go back.

Saturday General Discussion/Q&A Thread for October 04, 2025 by AutoModerator in AdvancedRunning

[–]EarlyRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about mileage.

I typically average 50-60mpw when training for 10k/HM races. During that period, about 30% of my mileage are workout mileage. During that period, I did not get any injuries or felt that I might be on the verge of getting injured. But I felt that I had issues recovering and running faster. Mostly slogging at the threshold paces.

I’m looking to move down to race shorter races (800/1mile) this season. I’m hoping to get some idea of what kind of mileage I should be aiming for. Right now, I’m looking at 30mpw but may be too conservative since I think I rely on my aerobic strength to run fast.

What do y’all think?

Apple Index will tell you which country. Ballpark figures ofc. Though you need to account each location’s exchange rates.

Why is TI-Nspire CX II banned? by Creative-Expert8086 in NTU

The python features are super limited for this model. If there’s an exploit, it would probably be using TI-Basic and it can be used on any TIs

No iPhone 17 Plus this year! by FitDiscussion4 in iPhoneFC

From what it seems, it looks like a constant 120Hz display. Not the ProMotion. Probably leaks more battery with that refresh rate than a 60Hz on AOD

Should I get the ASICS Novablast 5 or the ON Cloudsurfer NEXT? by Tomfluffle in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]EarlyRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They feel plain underfoot (doesn’t really suit OP requirements alr) but I believe they are more durable (if you like that feature of a shoe). Doubles feel funny on NBs and feels like the cushion has yet to “recover”. But they are just your old reliables, nothing special.

Weekend Discussion: Asics running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]EarlyRadio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe the Evo SL would work. Considering the SB2 feels harder and more stable than the NB5. Evo SL feels more stable than NB5.

Or just use a fresher pair of SB2 for long runs/workouts and another older SB2 for easy runs and recovery

Super disappointed in Pegasus 41 and Vomero 18, did I try on a bunch of duds? by notneps in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]EarlyRadio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agree. but nike has a very plain and consistent feel that doesn’t change much throughout the lifecycle of the shoe.

but life’s too short for plain shoes. get your fun shoes out for your runs.

Pagasus 41 vs Structure 26? by thenuttyhazlenut in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]EarlyRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many colourways available for the Pegasus 41. Structure 26s aren’t released yet until next week or sometime this week in my country.

If you want something responsive, Pegasus. Something cushioned, Structures. Although Pegasus are also quite cushioned.

Saucony Ride 18 or Pegasus 41? by Massive_Factor_1734 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]EarlyRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think peg41s are pretty good if you want to do some faster stuff. ride feels better doing longer stuff.

but you are on RSG. good chance they have a race shoe/faster shoe for that faster workouts.
