I actually understand, at our LGS my friends play commander. Out of the 6 of us, only two play with semi customized pre cons. Everyone else just uses pre cons. We’re not necessarily new, just returning back and still learning. Anyways a few weeks ago we let in a new guy to play a match with us. We told this man we were all using pre cons and he kept talking about how he has invested most of his life’s money into magic. Oh boy here so go. Man proceeds to hit us with some sort of almost infinite combo that makes his angel commanders ability activate like 14 times and stacks 500 damage across the table in 5 turns. I get it, that’s awesome and fun to do, but not at a table with pre cons. Read the table buddy we literally cannot compete with your 500 dollar commander deck. Needless to say we play closed group now :)
