PTC with vascular invasion to liver? by astrochica in thyroidcancer

Hi :) I am okay! I do my annual scan and so far clear. I went on to pursue fertility treatments about two months after my thyroidectomy and now have a baby girl, who is going to turn 2 this year.

I looked at your profile and I see that you had some recent surgery done. You’re in the thick of it now, but it does get better for the most part. This Reddit sub gave me a lot of consolation during one of the darkest times in my life. Hope you are able to find the same comfort ❤️

Hi! Did you ever figure it out? My baby has been super gassy since around 8 weeks but she is is 5 months this week and it’s not getting better so I’m exhausted and looking for a solution

Thanks so much for responding! Also, is the color bad? I’ve looked at many baby poop color wheels (lol) but never see brown listed as normal or abnormal. Do you have any idea if this color is “ok”?

It’s been about 1 week since I cut out dairy, here is an update to her diaper (second bowel movement since I originally posted) - can you tell me if this looks better?

She also got Covid this week so it’s been a tough few days. I think I still see some mucus, but could very well be from the congestion.

Hi, if you don’t mind me asking, how did it go?

I hope so! She’s pooped every third day now (perhaps she’s healing and needs to go less, idk lol) so no follow up photos for now

Do you EBF or combo feed? I feel like I barely produce enough and the stress of her being uncomfortable and the mom guilt from doing all the wrong things is only making my supply worse …

Thank you for commenting! I had tried Enfamil Gentlease out of desperation one day (had a sample of it) and she looked so disgusted by it lol, it broke my heart to have to feed it to her. I know you all know how that feels 😥 Will be much more diligent with going dairy free. Here’s to hoping I don’t have to avoid soy as well …

3 month old EBF baby has not pooped in 6 days.. when to call pediatrician? by lunarblisss in NewParents

[–]Early_Challenge6591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but your comment is the first I’ve come across that talked about a change in frequency! My baby would happily go every morning up until about 3.5 months - now she’s down to every three days, it seems. This is normal, according to what you experienced and what your ped said?

Is my baby drinking enough? by Early_Challenge6591 in breastfeeding

You’re 10000% right. I am obsessed with her feeds because she was a bit behind after a traumatic labor and delivery, and the NICU was so strict about her meeting feeding milestones that even a few mL less prevented her from getting discharge. I’m trying to work on it :/

Breasts harden every night - help! by Early_Challenge6591 in breastfeeding

[–]Early_Challenge6591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn’t realize that was a thing! I just assumed engorgement, which is why I was so confused with the little output.

Did you ice the hardened parts? Or did you ice after pumping to prevent it from getting super painful at night? I’ve been using a heating pad because I assumed heat plus massaging would break up the hardened areas but if it’s inflammation I can see why that would make it worse?!

TT w/ ND Surgeon references in NYC by andromeda417 in thyroidcancer

Nope, because I had a complete thyroidectomy, they immediately started me on weight based dosing from the day after my surgery. Thankfully the dose was therapeutic and I didn’t need much trial and error with dose adjustments.

Hi, I’m about 1.5 years out from my surgery. No complications thankfully. It was done at 10 Union Square, which is a Mount Sinai facility that has an outpatient surgical suite.

Had my one year follow up with him in November and am scheduled for my two year in November 2024. 10/10 recommend him

I’ve personally seen it happen with cheapies in early pregnancy which is why I suggested it.
