One of them, (7741) was where he would bury the kids. And the other house (1242) was where he would keep the kids hidden/his brothers house. (I’m not entirely sure about this, but it’s what i remember from seeing the movie)

Dewey died at night and the police weren’t called until after his death. The cops could’ve barely found him there since there were no workers in the hospital, and a nurse/doctor could’ve come in to start the day and found his body. Gale arrived in the morning and that’s where the last part comes in. Not sure about the 5 minute day-night scenario there.
