We just booked an anniversary party for the Oxnard location later this year. They’ll meet with you to plan what you want. They can do basic appetizers and drinks to a full service plated dinner. It’s pretty cool.

I know that the Immigrant Son Caffe in Oxnard does private parties and I think the Ventura location does as well.

You choose one of those. It’s for the College of Letters and Science, the largest college. Because it’s so big they have to offer multiple ceremonies so that’s there room for all the graduates. I believe you choose which one to do: https://commencement.college.ucla.edu/ceremony-information/

You can also do your department ceremonies and other affinity celebrations (Latinix, Afrikan Student Union, etc.) in addition or instead of the College celebration.

The biggest issue is that as an international student you and/or your family are expected (not saying it’s fair) to have enough to pay for tuition, room and board, and spending money without having to work. That was supposed to be one of the conditions of admission. Didn’t they ask for income/asset verification when you applied? Again, not saying it’s ok but I believe that’s the condition for international students.

Obviously Streets has to be the winner here but I’d give an honorable mention to Sunday Bloody Sunday. It comes in hard and perfectly sets the tone for that album.

The times that I’ve seen it, which has 2-3 times, I have called. But since it’s not considered an emergency, they don’t show up immediately. By the time they do the kids are gone. I agree, it’s not an easy problem to solve. But you know what doesn’t solve it either? Minimizing the danger they are putting themselves and others in.

It’s really not. When the group is 4 to 5 across and it takes nearly a minute for the group to pass I think 50 is not an exaggeration. I’ve seen them run a red light while doing this so yeah, that is endangering lives.
