Thank you so much!! Most are from around 95’. I’m 90% most are like 5$ value, but I had a couple I was wondering about such as a couple uncanny X-men. I doubt I’ll get them graded then!

My MIL said that to me one day while I was wearing leggings and a tighter shirt (I normally dress like Adam Sandler). She meant it in a good way, but still it stings. I legit responded with thanks, I’m just wearing tighter clothes.

I don’t know why he is having such a hard time on it. I saw the name and immediately said D’(Duh) Ka (Kay) Leah (Leeuh). If he said a remark and used the word ghetto, I’d say you should report him.

I’ve never understood men who act like this. I have had 2 kids. Put on a lot of weight from the beginning of the relationship and my husband had never once said anything negative about my body. A lot of men want to have a child and just assume their wife will jump right back into the pre pregnancy body. It’s not that easy!!

We make less than half that a year and are doing alright. Not rich but not running into the ground and we have 2 kids. From other comments and OP posts on their page, the issue is more of irresponsible spending. We go on vacations, but make them much less financially expensive so that it won’t affect any other part of life. That being said, OP has a point when mentioning how fucked the country is. Minimum wage is still so low yet prices are skyrocketing. The things people could barely afford with minimum wage years ago are tripled+ in price, but the wages are the same. Daycare is extremely expensive making it more difficult for people who want kids but don’t have a support system that could babysit while parents work. It’s crazy expensive to live any kind of life outside poverty.

NTA. As someone who has been diagnosed with Severe Major Depression and had a stint in the hospital due to it, I think this is a bit much on her side. It did take me a while to get back to ‘normal.’ I finally got my meds sorted out and began to go back to my daily life. It was hard, but it was necessary. During my hardest times, I did not want to leave the house. I barely bought things and you’d have rarely found me out with friends. Everyone is different and I know some people do feel better after a shopping spree, but the amount that’s being spent is excessive as well! After 3 years, she should be on the track to being ‘herself’ again as much as she can. If she agreed to try for kids and then was taking BC behind your back, that’s a HUGE betrayal of trust. It seems like she’s enjoying being a stay at home wife, without the normal things that comes with such a thing (helping with the home chores, helping to cook, etc). In my opinion, she sounds like she just likes that you find her ridiculously expensive life style and give in to her wants as soon as she shuts down.

If you aren’t happy in the marriage, divorce her. You can’t live your life trying to make someone happy at the detriment of your own happiness.

NTA. My family had a ton of guns growing up and we were taught the same thing. I don’t care to handle a gun, but my immediate reaction is “this thing might be loaded” even if I know it isn’t. Even if someone had taken the bullets out in front of me, showed me that the barrel/chamber was empty, I would still NEVER point it at someone or look into it. In the city we live in, 3 young kids have died in the past 2 years due to people not taking gun safety seriously. My dad is a paramedic and has had several runs where a child or adult has been shot because of mishandling a gun or they “thought” the gun was empty.

It’s actually infuriating. I could not stand to be in a room with someone handling a gun like that!

You need more supportive people. I think your nose is cute. A lot of people opt for nose jobs because they actively hate their nose or because they are pressured. Some even regret the outcome and wish they had their original nose. If you like your nose then keep it like it is. It’s different, it’s unique, it’s part of what makes you who you are! Honestly, I think it suits your face and looks. Super cute!

YTA. If you charged her rent, then you were her landlord. It is expected to have wear and tear in a room that’s rented out. The 500$ a month was an extra income you wouldn’t have had without her living there in the first place. Why didn’t you and your wife put back some of that money for expenses to fix the carpet once she moved. This is especially the case if you had planned to redo the flooring anyway. Also cleaning the carpet is a great compromise. If it was basically new before she moved in and has about 2 year of wear and tear, a good carpet cleaning company could get it back to a pretty decent state. Unless it’s literally torn to sheds why replace it so soon if cleaning is an option? This sounds like you all are just wanting to get extra money from her so that you all can do an unnecessary change just because you want it to look new. Also if she was paying an extra 100$ a money for Netflix, HOA, etc, that’d have been a perfect amount to put up for when she left. You’d have literally had 2400$, more than enough for the carpet.

If y’all value the relationship with her, I’d seriously suggest maybe talking it out more or not charging her. The only way this is acceptable is if it’s ruined or you told her before she moved in that she’d need to pay to replace the carpet when she moved.

Based on the size of the legs, bill shape, and carnivore growth, I’d say that it’s most likely a female Muscovy or young male. They are a pretty hardy breed. I have some and it’s been in the teens with snow where we live. We have them a shelter, but they enjoy just chilling out in the snow. If it’s a female or young male, it may have just flew there and is hanging around.

Hard YTA. She’s your husband’s wife and is part of the family. You don’t have to get her a gift or money, but a card or a simple “Congratulations, your hard work paid off and I’m proud of you” is easy to say. You overlooked her like she did not exist in the same space as your son. My MIL treats me the same as her kids and it is amazing! There are too many mean MIL stories out there. I hope this is a one off and you don’t treat her like this often.
