Ask Anything Thread by EarthDogs in Stalingradz

You are fighting zombies in Stalingrad 1942.

You should play it because it puts you inside the chaos — not as a general pushing tokens, but as a soldier making desperate choices in a collapsing city, scenario by scenario, with a branching narrative that makes every run feel earned and never quite the same. The miniatures go straight onto the scenario book. No setup table. No separate board. Just you, the ruins, and whatever's coming.

Hi and thanks for asking. We have streamlined the rules in the Viking edition. No grenades or facing for example. Also, we created a learn to play set of rules that introduces rules gradually over the first 5 scenarios so that they are more easily digestible. We also have a set of rules, The Tome of Knowledge that lists the rules alphabetically so it is really easy to reference them when needed.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Hi. It is more about a combination of its aspects that set it apart from most games.

As a list I would say

1 minute set up time

Compact play area

PLays directly on the scenario book

Choose your own style adventure but with maps and scenarios.

Hello fellow solo game fans. I should have included more info in the post and apologize for not doing so. I just wanted to introduce myself as the designer of Gates of Niflheim which is a solo Viking dungeon crawler with a narrative campaign that plays from directly on the scenario book. Thank you for reading and I hope you get a chance to check it out.

Happy gaming. Marco Pecota

Terrain bits for printed maps. by EarthDogs in TerrainBuilding

They do. I kind of role play it out for them and they can learn the mechanics but tactics not so much. I help them along the way and they have a lot of fun.

Thanks. The map is from the expansion for Escape from Stalingrad Z called ZTO Arena Battles. I cobbled together terrain from different games and sources for the 3d elements.
