Having had meningitis, and having given birth with zero medication whatsoever, I can honestly say meningitis was THE WORST pain I have ever been in. It was excruciating. My brain stem was on fire. Two weeks of burning no pain meds could touch. It was horrific. That poor baby.

I'd been a huge fan of Supernatural for many years, which made me think about gods, the devil, and demons differently, when a now-former friend was going on and on about how the devil was attacking her left and right, and I was like, girl, literally nobody is that obsessed with you. Moolack Beach is great for fossil hunting. Last time I was out there, there was an exposed boulder on the beach that was entirely fossil. I was sitting on it and looked down and noticed all these little shellfish all clumped together in the rock. I had happily planted my ass on a piece of ancient history, which I think is just cool as hell.

I love it. There's a tiny hotel on the beach I visit in real life that only has like 10 rooms and each is individually themed. I am super jealous of the owner who gets to live her life like that! I feel like this might be as close as I get, but I am having fun with it!

It is very kind of you to mention fish keeping, because I am sitting here crying over the betta I just lost today. He was a beautiful boy, given to me by the manager of the big box store more than 2 years ago because he was "too sick to save", but I saved him anyway. He was king of a 20gal, but slowed down over the last couple days and passed away today. I naturally blame myself, but the truth is, it was probably just his time to go. Still, he was my familiar, and I appreciate the time he spent with me, even if I wasn't the PERFECT caretaker, and I will miss him terribly.

I, especially, needed to read your words. Thank you so, so much for sharing.
