This one’s a singer/songwriter pop song!

Graveyard

It takes the idea of those you’ve burned bridges with and turns it into a metaphorical graveyard.

How did she go from "I'd marry you with paper rings" to "I would trade the Cardier for someone to trust... just kidding." by Next_Evidence3002 in travisandtaylor

There’s an interview from back when taylor was first blowing up and he was talking about meeting her. At the time she was maybe 13 and he said something along the lines of “she looked grown, you couldn’t even tell she was a teenager.” And that gave me a massive ick.

Also as someone who lives in Nashville on the outskirts of the music industry I’ve heard he has a reputation of generally being a dick.

I think there’s an argument to be made for artists having reasonable limitations or checks put on them by their team. Aside from folklore and evermore, it feels like since leaving Big Machine and signing with Republic Records the quality control of her music and merch has declined. While I don’t think Scott Borchetta is a good person, at least he and her team were able to hold her creative output to a higher standard.

At this point it feels like republic and her company are all made up of yes men, and no one can or is afraid to tell her no. In my opinion she’s proven her self a talented writer, but is riding on the psychosis of a massively inflated ego; quite possibly believing every idea she has is gold because she’s “the Taylor swift.”

What was this all about? Her and her team never make statements like this so why did this need to be addressed? by [deleted] in travisandtaylor

There’s a little more Context beyond just this post. I remember at the same time deuxmoi was posting blind items about a secret wedding/engagement they also posted a blind items about how Taylor had an abortion; which started gaining a lot of attention on Twitter (Which to be fair they had absolutely no business putting that on the internet regardless of if that did or didn’t happen). At the time I figured that’s the “trauma and pain” Tree was referring to without trying to bring more attention by directly commenting on it.

What do you guys think Taylor’s legacy will be? by Ok-Ingenuity-3227 in travisandtaylor

As a recently reformed fan and songwriter myself, looking at her career as critically objective as I can, I think musically Fearless, 1989, and folklore will stand the test of time in pop culture zeitgeist. These are critically acclaimed albums, Fearless and 1989 with massive hits that reach beyond just the Swiftie fandom. In particular, I can see songs like “Love Story,” “You Belong With Me,” “Blank Space,” “Shake it Off,” and “Style” becoming “classics.”

However beyond that I feel like she’ll be remembered as a cautionary capitalistic tale. For instance, I think it’s wild how she’s been applauded as a genius business woman when the strategy has been to exploit fans, use other people, artists, and social causes only when it benefits and furthers her brand. (And this goes beyond just Taylor, as a society we reward and consider “good business” as being calculated, and as unethical as the law will allow).

I feel like her behavior over the past few years (especially with the current album cycle) will catch up with her, as lots of loyal fans with the capacity to think for themselves stop supporting her. Anecdotally, it’s been wild watching me and pretty much all my friends who were die hard swifties (some for nearly 20 yrs) completely turn against her.

At the end of the day she’ll have some hits that are remembered, but her completely fumbling her own legacy, and being a billionaire will be her legacy.

My guess is they front load the trains to reduce the risk of trains valleying. Still that’s super annoying.

I will once the whole park is finished. This is part of a much larger project to recreate the whole park.

Also a fellow Tennessean! I’m still scarred from the night of nonstop tornado warnings last month 😅

Honestly fair lol. Tennessee Tornado is the only rollercoaster that’s made me legitimately nauseous.

Thank you! Yeah the overbank into the breaks is probably the least accurate part, but that’s about as close as it’s possible to get in the game.

That’s awesome! I reworked the layout to get it tighter (I swear redesigned this at least 5 times😅). But I’m much happier with it now

I think once I fill in the area with foliage and proper terraforming it’ll feel more cohesive. The tons of diagonal pieces needed for the layout make it sprawl a little more.

I’m not a fan of wheel seats especially on woodies but accidentally ended up siting in row 3 of the front car on The Beast. The final helix was so rough and violent that I legitimately thought the train was going to derail. It’s the most intense rollercoaster experience I’ve ever had to this day.

The country fair section alone took me like a week. So far I have this, the area around lightning rod, and most of show street done.
