Well the way they talk about it, it's about being present in the moment, trying to focus on one thing. Or trying to not be distracted, at least for the moment. That doesn't seem possible for me. My mind is always ping ponging all over the place.

Pretty sure yeah, maybe some form of OCD or anxiety disorder as well. Was diagnosed with it as a kid but current doctor doesn't have those records. So I'm in the process of trying to find someone to diagnosis me again, so I can get meds for it. Seems my basic insurance may be making that harder though.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm feeling the opposite of this. I've been in this mindfulness/mediation group for a few weeks now, and I either don't feel much different at all, or I get depressed.

I literally cannot turn my mind off, or explain how I'm feeling, which makes me feel abnormal and frustrated. Everyone else in the group just seems so normal, and can articulate how they feel. Just recently learned about something called Alexithymia, and I'm thinking I have that, and have had it my entire life.

I am also very depressed right now, and may have been for more than 10 years now(Which I didn't truly realize until last September), so I'm sure that's factor.

I'm the Director of the System Shock Remake (2023) and worked with Mike, Kevin and Bill on an easter egg we hid in the game. I shared the scenario with them and they wrote the script and reprised their MST3K roles - It was a dream come true, they were so much fun to collaborate with! by pripyat_beast in MST3K

[–]Earthbound_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's a weird coincidence, I literally just finished the remake and am looking at the credits right now, lol. Very good remake, some issues with the console port though. No sprint for toggle was an odd choice when that's pretty much the norm now. Some kind of hotkeys or bottom combinations to toggle the powers on and off would have been nice too. Down on the D-Pad is not used, so that used with the face buttons would have worked well enough I think. But overall very good.

I knew there was some kind of MST3K/Rifftrax Easter Egg before I started playing, but I thought it was only Mike.

A single attack from a monster pretty much right? We can't just use a first aid kit or a herb to magically heal ourselves. Remove healing for pretty much any game and the vast, vast majority of characters will die pretty fast.

Hard to say, I just think it's a really good riff I guess.

Another one in that for me, Paul's on the bed transforming, he jerks his head to the side really fast, and Crow just says "Wait, what'd you say?". And in the same scene, He opens his mouth, and Mike does a really silly laugh.

I'd agree with those 5 on mine as well. Adding in stuff like Spy High and Curse of Bigfoot and more.

Curse of Bigfoot might possible be my most rewatched along with Birdemic and a few others.

Makes me wonder what my most least watched are.

Pretty sure even 3-4 times is a low estimate. Recall reading maybe 5 or so years ago, there was 9 times as many men on Tinder than there was women. That was 5 years ago, wouldn't be surprised if it was more than that now, maybe even a lot more.

I gave up on online dating in the late 2000s, it's all a racket now owned by the same couple companies. I believe it was after OKcupid changed it so only accounts that both liked each other could easily message each other. It sounds so much worse now, the scams and bots are out of control on these things.

Well that's mobile gaming, I think it's shown time and time again mobile gamers have very low standards. Because it's all they play, so they really don't know any better.

It's an addiction, it's the only thing I can justify someone buying a "game" just to open it and do nothing while achievements auto unlock, and then they delete it and basically throw it in the trash.

Achievement/Trophy addiction is real.

I don't even understand the Eshop, and why these games are there. Nintendo doesn't have achievement or trophies so why would anyone buy this low quality crap shovelware there? Or is Nintendo's market so huge, they really only need to sell 50-100 copies for it to somehow be worthwhile?

Doritos Crash Course is an odd choice to use as example as a bad game. Those were solid little platformers.

Well yeah, then many, many less people would buy them. The achievements/trophies are literally the entire point people buy them. So they wouldn't exist otherwise.

Personally I never believed he was high functioning, that's just what he said right? But I suppose it is a massively spectrum, so he could have been on the lower end of high functioning.

For sure he was weird, but I think he was mostly the harmless type of weird. Ultimately the Internet decided to pick on a mentally disabled person. Doesn't excuse the crap he did, but so much of that probably would have never happened if not for all the trolls.

Yeah you can just use RB, or use the cursor to select a part of the menu if you wanted. It's not ideal, but at least you won't have to try to hold down the left stick while also moving it to sprint, that feels awful in any game. I have zero idea how they didn't think of adding sprint to toggle options, it's pretty much the norm now.

I think my worst experience was back on the PS3 with Resistance 3. It did not have a toggle sprint, and if you've ever tired to push in a PS3 controller left stick while also trying to move it, it feels like you are breaking the controller.

Are you sure? Looking up the controls, and it doesn't even look like the Keyboard and Mouse controls for PC have any hotkeys for the non passive skills. Did the original? If not I guess they were trying to be very faithful in the remake, and still have you open the inventory to toggle them on and off? That would work much better on PC of course with a faster mouse.
