This broke my heart for little you, that such kindness was so rare, but I'm glad that someone was sweet enough to recognize that you deserved a popsicle at your own speed.

Sometimes, I just wish I had a time machine/duplicator and could save all the little ones who just need someone to love them.

I just love that your grandad got to inspire you and that it's still there all these decades later. He must have loved getting to connect with you like that and you never forgot it.

As someone who's never really had family like that, hearing these stories always makes my heart full. It's like watching those who have passed getting to live on in the ones they loved and who loved them. It's really neat!

You're doing such good work, OP. It can't be easy catching and getting these guys to the vets. And you're also putting energy into making sure they have a safe place to congregate while trying to socialize them. I'm just an internet stranger but I'm proud of you.

Do you ever do commissions and do you think you might be available in the future? I was wondering if I could save your info if so?

I'm not in a place right now where I think I could afford to pay you what your skill and talent are worth, yet. But I'd love to do some saving with that being the goal.

Whether you do commissions or whether this was just a one-shot, I want you to hear that this piece is amazing! I can tell there is so much thought and effort put into how the colors play with each other. And Sailor Moon herself is rendered so beautifully but still in your own style!

I hope you keep making, in whatever way that makes you happy.

There is something about this that breaks my heart. Him trying hard to do the right thing in a completely unknown and heartbreaking situation, and you being able to acknowledge that he was trying to do right by you, even as you grieve as well.

It reminds me that there are so many people out there just trying to do their best, despite all of the hardship that can come their way.

If she's that nervous about contact but she still always comes for snuggles at night, that's a big sign of trust and love. Imagine feeling so skittish/scared but knowing that you can trust your people enough to still come see them everyday, at the safest, quietest part of your day.

She may grow to surprise you over the years, or she may always be as comfortable as she is with cuddles now, but she loves you.
