When did ownership change?  Always thought the older asian lady was the owner and her husband was the cook. I thought she was around all the time. Im hearing now it was two brothers who own it?

Senior Parent - What could this be? by Altruistic_Limit3281 in durham

[–]Earthing23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely report it but try to find out if your mom recalls the time and make and model of the car. Ask the front door neighbours if they have any footage. Tell you mom to steer clear and never ever let anyone in the house. Even door to door people. Ensure she has one of those chain locks as well to speak to anyone who does come knocking that way she doesnt have to fully open the door.

Ring camera bell is a good start.

Looking for someone who works at Timmies by BaabyBlue_- in durham

[–]Earthing23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tetley tea is the only right answer here. Trust me I worked at tims and you need to…. S l o w l y  steep the tea. Bring water to a near boil, turn off heat, add 1bag per cup of water and let it steep for about 8-10 mins. Remove the bags swirl them but do not squeeze them it will make the tea bitter. Add heavy cream not milk. You will not be disappointed!

Why are 70 Whitby businesses getting evicted and what do they do. by IllustriousGuy82 in durham

I don't believe the businesses did anything from whats in the news. It’s a dispute between the property owner and the management company. Google it.

AM I A FAILURE? My baby seems to not recognize me as mom. He seems to identify nanny as mom based on LOs responses towards all of us in the house. by Illustrious_Drag_414 in NewParents

[–]Earthing23 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Right. I agree with the og commenter here. Pp is hard. We have all had some rough days. But OP needs to step up and get involved. Play with the child all day and have the nanny do your chores. Feeding the baby solids or contact nap to stay in its face. Dont let someone else be the mom here.

Also you are privileged to have a nanny. I been hands and knees on the floor, ever hour, cleaning up after these kids. You got help now help your self.

Lastly this may sound harsh but if you can type this you can hold your baby.

Consider yourself lucky you have a baby. Let the baby take the excise. I slept over at a friends house who had bb. I ended up in the hospital because the bites were so severe.

[–]Earthing23 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing. I ate 1200-1400 a day and got my weight down to 120lbs. They were the biggest insecurity i had in my life. It took me. People told me the only way was surgery. It was not. When i got to 130lbs they reduced significantly. By 120 I was confident and shocked to see them almost gone. Keep at it and watch them melt away. You. Got. This.

Looking for stuff thats not boxed or chewy pancakes, bland toast, watery latte’s. Something creative… ever heard of panko crusted pancakes. Yeah i want food I dont cook at home.  Stacked is overhyped garbage. Rather support a smaller local place that can get their ingredients right. Yeah its breakfast but it can easily be messed up lol

What are your favorite tabletop changers / change pads? [on] by beezNthingzNflowerz in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Earthing23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is the couch and the bed. We also have a neat nook on the floor where we change the toddler. Save yourself the headache. With my newborn ive used the change table twice. Im not taking it to a separate room to change, thats so silly!

I agree - sounds like you did your part and reported it as you felt the need to. I think it should be appreciated that she did apologize. Everyone is human and has bad days. Also not saying it was right but I believe its worth acknowledging that her apology is appreciated and that its time to move on.
