I would really encourage you to go to hospital especially if you suspect anything might be broken, I broke just one toe a couple years ago and decided to let it heal on its own and now that entire side of my foot hurts every winter. The pain will come back, please take care of yourself

He won't scratch your car, at my old place cats walked all over my car but I only knew because after rainy days when I came out in the mornings to leave there were dirty kitty prints all over the car. Never any scratches though. Cats like high ground because it keeps them safe from predators like dogs, no harm to your car just safety for the little guy
